    Excellent budget 1080p TV

I went from a LCD 32" 720p TV that I paid 350 for 4 years prior. Best Buy had this on sale for 250 bucks in the store and I figured I would give it a shot. I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the unit for the price. The LED backlight is very nice compared to my LCD lit by CCFL. The blacks are very black without any bleed. The picture is great when seated properly for a TV of this size. The contrast is on point. The built in sound is not something I expect to have a good experience with on a budget flat screem, but it really is not that bad. It fills my room comfortably without any unwelcome distortion. You wont be able to get movie experience type sound, but its something to get you by if you just watch Netflix with a few friends and don't expect the world out of it.

    Good TV for the $

Picture is as good as any LG, or Samsung TV, from what I saw in the store and on youtube. Plug in a roku stick and you have a smart tv, for a couple hundred bucks less than any comparably sized tv with 3 hdmi inputs. Only complaint is that the captions shut off when a different input is selected, and when selecting channels using the favorite button on the remote. I have to shut off the tv and turn it back on for the captions to resume. When switching channels manually, the captions stay on. 3 hdmi inputs is a nice feature for this tv, at this price point! Sound is ok, but you need a soundbar or a surround system for better quality. I can live with the caption defect, since returning it is really not an option for me, and I do not want to spend more money on another tv. But, if this is a deal breaker for some...then I hope this review helped.

After less than 3 months a pixel went out and now need to replace the entire panel. If I could go back I would spend more and buy another brand.

For an off-brand television set, this thing could not be beaten for the $239 price I received it for. Best Buy had a goof-up on their marketing so I snagged this HDTV for my dad. You can't beat 1080p, 3 HDMI, and 43 inches for $239.

    OK budget TV

I bought this tv for only $270, and I got what I expected. It is an alright tv with great picture and it includes DBS sound. All though, due to the 60hz refresh rate, there is a slight motion blur that is catch-able by the eye, which tends to bother me. Otherwise, nice bedroom tv for the price!

    Very average TV

I got this TV for a medium sized home office where TV is not a priority but a little luxury while working. I have a 42" 2014 Insignia model I adore and would put it up against any "value" model on the market and most low end "name brand" models. The model I am reviewing doesn't live up to the previous model I purchased but it's not bad. It won't blow you away though. The good: It was cheap, decent color and sound, easy to set up, the remote is user friendly, it has plenty of ports for access, and Insignia has a decent history of quality. The bad: The 60Hz refresh rate IS 60Hz. It handles fast motion average. Just average (not like the previous model). You will see fuzz and blur but it bounces back quickly. The overall picture is a little grainy compared to other TVs you're going to pay more for. It could be a little brighter but it isn't dim by any means. Take away: If you want an average TV for an average price to do average things, this is a good TV. Don't buy this TV as your primary TV because for a little more money and a 120Hz refresh rate you're going to be a lot happier especially if you watch a lot of sports. It has plenty of controls, options, ports, and settings for the average user. Don't expect this TV to blow you away. Expect it to perform adequately.

    Great Customer Service

I would have given 4 1/2 stars but that wasn't a choice so I give it 5 for customer service alone. This is our first HDTV so I read the reviews on a lot of tv's before deciding on this one and was happy when I brought it home and hooked it up, that was easy. It had a great picture the first night but the next day after having the tv on for a couple of hours the picture went out. I turned it off then back on, after approx. 2 1/2 minutes the picture went out again. This continued into the afternoon so I returned it to BestBuy the next day. The return took 5 minutes or less. They had a new tv at the Customer Service Desk waiting for me. They were apologetic, polite, and accommodating all on a busy Memorial Day Weekend. I love my new tv, no problems. The sound isn't loud enough for someone with hearing difficulties but I'm told that's true of most flat screen tv's so I hooked it to some stereo speakers (also easy) and now the sound's so good my dog thinks it's actually thundering. The picture is beautiful, and the price was great!

    Nice TV at Great Price

I am giving it 5 stars because of what you get for the price: a 43" 1080p TV for $289. It is very lightweight compared to the 8 year old 32" tv it replaced. I am happy with the fact that it has 3 HDMI ports. Picture quality is good - if you want excellent then spend 2-4 times as much for the same size TV from Sony or Samsung. Works great for watching in the bedroom and doesn't break the bank I have had it for less than 24 hours so I cannot comment on how long it will last, but I haven't had any issues with it so far. The only thing I don't like is that the power cable is hard-wired and is a little short for where I need to place the TV. So I need to use an extension cord. I would prefer removable power cable that I could replace with a longer one if needed.

    Decent Price, Poor Picture

It was between this tv and a 40" Vizio. After owning a Vizio as our main tv for the past 5 years I've known the brand as a great product. My gut said to go with the Vizio but for $30 less and 3 more inches I bent and gave the Insignia the chance. PROS: The TV is light and easy to setup. Price is good. CONS: This is what gets me. This tv has pretty good reviews which is the main reason i went ahead and got it against my gut feeling. I was exciting to move up from a 720p LCD to a 1080 LED and see an even better picture. However, I'm not seeing that with this tv. There are frequently artifacts and noise in the blacks, motion blue and a complete lack of crispness. Oddly enough using the Noise Reduction feature only creates more noise. I've tried different setting across different mediums (our cable box, PS4 and a XBOX One) and I feel like I'm 15 watching our tube tv in the living room. I'll keep trying different settings but as of right now it's going back in the next 48 hours and I'm going with the Vizio.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. The end-result picture quality on the television is almost entirely dependent upon the source, as a result we would always recommend connecting a high-definition source via HDMI for the best picture to be shown on the screen. Unfortunately, changing the settings on the television will not change a poor-quality source into a higher-quality image. - Jason, Insignia Product BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

I got this TV a few days ago and I only use it for Netflix and chill and video games. Netflix looks great on it even though the refresh rate is only 60. I played halo 5 on it and it looks pretty good it could look better but for the price it's nice (reason for 4 out of 5). If your looking for a nice tv for gaming it might not suit you. The only things I don't like is the refresh rate, gaming is ok, and the power cord is alittle short. Also it has a split stand so I'll update about the durability soon.

I purchased this TV and like most people i was skeptical of the brand and all however once i got it home and hook everything up to it., it performs very well. i use this TV in my bedroom and it looks good. I will get a bigger size TV to go in my living room once i save up enough for it. if you are on a budget and really want something bigger than a 32inch TV then this TV is definitely a win

I owned a Sharp 32 inch LCD from 2008 until now. It never let me down in 8 years, I paid like 500 for it when it was a clearance item. With that being said.. I bought this Insigna TV today because of the price at the size. It's quality, it does what I need from it. I already have chromecast so it wasn't necessary for me to get a smart tv. Honestly love it

Out of the box a very nice looking TV. Super simple to set up. Took about 5 minutes. Very clear picture and sound. I only use for TV and DVD so I can't speak for gamers but I'm very happy with it and it looks great in my living room. I don't like these on the wall and the stand is very sturdy. I would buy again for sure!

I got this TV on sale and was able to pick up the same day! The TV was easy to install, it has plenty of HDMI slots to fit my cable and consoles. The color and quality are a great improvement from my old T V. All for under $250.

Great tv so far. Pros: Picture quality is great, performance is good, sound is good, easy accessibility for settings and customizations. HDMI accessible to bring great quality to your game consoles and movie players. Cons: Sound is good but not great. Soundbar or surround sound works great with it. Sometimes the picture will black out. Not sure what this is caused by but maybe there's a solution to it if you are encountering this problem Overall product works great!

Bought this to replace my 32" LCD Philips in the bedroom. It's as good as my Vizio, Samsung or others we've had. I had previously purchased an Insignia and it worked great till it was stolen by my daughter when she bought a house.
