I was looking for a new TV to replace my 32 inch, but was worried about the price. I stumbled upon this TV and at first was worried about how bad it would be since I never buy inexpensive tvs, but I was promised that it would meet my expectations. It met them and blew them away. The picture quality is unrivaled for this price. It is crystal clear and has many settings which can only make it look better. My advice is to set it up personally instead of using preset options, with the dynamic backlight on low and adaptive contrast on. Makes a work of a difference. My ONLY concern is only having 2 HDMI ports but that is easily worked around. The picture is great, the sound is much better than expected, and it works flawlessly. I'd highly advice this over other 1080p tvs in the 5-$600 range unless you are looking for a smart TV. However if you already own a gaming console or purchase a roku TV stick ($40) you won't need one. I can't recommend this TV enough.

I purchased this as a gift to my brother for Christmas. We have already had to call service due to malfunctioning screen. They are set to come next week, if they can't repair it they will replace it.

I am sorry to hear of the defect in the screen. Our TV’s are covered by a 1 year Manufacturer warranty, and it sounds like Geek Squad does have you in process to get this issue resolved. – Jon, Insignia Support BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

The whole sound bar will turn off for no reason sometimes. Sometimes it is just fine and stays on for hours. Not sure what's going on. Otherwise it was the right price for me.

I purchased this TV about 2 months ago and it's one of the better TV's that I've ever purchased. When I first bought the TV, I didn't know what to expect because I hadn't heard of the brand before, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Pros: Set-Up - This TV was very simple to set up. You put six screws into the base and it was assembled. I've struggled before with setting the TV up because of lack of clarification, but this was very simple. Quality - The picture of the TV is very clear and looks good. I'm sure it's not as good as some of the big name brands, but I was very pleased with it. The sound that it produces is also very good and clear. Rarely do I ever even have the volume half-way up. I've watched sports, movies and did gaming on it and was pleased with it in all of the circumstances. Price - I purchased this TV for about $400 which I thought was a very good price and was the main factor on why I bought this TV. If you compare this price to other brands of TV, with the same size, it is much cheaper. Cons: Remote Lag: When I am flipping through the channels, I always am having to wait for the TV to pick up the action from the remote. This can start to become irritating, especially for someone who isn't patient. Channel Info: I just have regular cable with my TV, therefore, I don't have a TV guide to tell me where my channels are. So, a lot of times I just flip through the channels to find the channel, however, the TV doesn't immediately tell you what channel it is. When you are flipping through the channels, I have to wait a couple extra seconds with every channel flip to find out what channel it is. This makes channel surfing a little challenging. However, this may not necessarily be a problem for some people, just something that I found annoying. Lack of HDMI Outputs: There are only 2 HDMI outputs on this TV, which is enough for me but for someone who wants to have multiple things plugged in, it could be a problem. Overall, I feel that this is a very good TV, especially for the price. It has a great picture/sound and as long as you can get past the time consuming channel surfing, I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this TV because I had a Vizio $500.00 TV last almost a year and Wal Mart said sorry your on your own. I read a lot of reviews and found negative ones to be really dumb. All neg's were about something that was a customers fault, or they expected a $300.00 tv to have all the bells and whistles of a $1,500.00 TV. This TV has every bit as good a picture as a $1,500.00 TV I saw in the store. Doesn't have a fast refresh rate, so what, just a good quality picture with out all the fancy junk I would never use anyway. I would tell my kids to buy this TV

Bad tv.Very blurry and not clear. Knocking sound and sound goes out. I got sold a bad tv. My rating would be 0 stars but it wont let me send it through.Very bad and I'm disappointed for getting sold it and getting treated poorly by the manager at the store when i came back for help. I wish i never brought this tv from them. They are unprofessional and i was treated not as if i was a customer and new member. Im calling cooperate on that manager name Jane.

Bought this for my man cave. It is going to be used for gaming mostly. When I got it home, the screen was shattered, right out of the box. This is the type of thing that can happen to any product from any company. I took it back and the exchange was very easy. I fully expected them to blame me for dropping it or something, but it was all taken care of with no problems. Got it home and hooked it up. For the price, the picture looks great. I am very happy with the TV. I only gave it 4 stars because the sound is very weak with this TV. If you are buying it for the living room, expect to need a sound bar. But hey, for the price I paid for it, I can't expect everything. I love the TV. Side note: I am using this for gaming with my PS4, & Xbox1. Even though this is 60 Hz, I am having NO frame rate issues, and the 1,000,000 to 1 color contrast makes the games look very nice.

This is my 2nd Insignia TV and I couldn't be happier, for the price you can't go wrong, purchased my 1st Insignia 4-5 years ago for my living room, outstanding TV. TV in bedroom went out so my 1st and only choice as a monetary cautious person was the Insignia and the 48" fit the bill perfectly, Excellent value and Quality.
