I purchsed a Toshiba and had to take it back. The picture on the Toshiba was terrible. This insignia is much better. Its still a bit digital and pixelated during some images when watching Planet Earth. However, for the price, I dont think you could get a better deal. Ill upgrade next year, but this will work for now!

This is the first Insignia TV i've owned. I wen't into best buy thinking I was going to get a 40 inch TV for my bedroom but I saw this set, and the price was too good to turn up. The picture is good, but the sound is great.

If you are not looking for a smart LED Television and want good picture and good sound quality this is your TV. My 6 year old Vizio tv screen went bad and repairing was out of the question when I found out the cost to repair it, so I replaced it with a new Vizio E43 class -- picture was good but the sound was just BAD. I Went back to the store to exchange it for the same, and again the sound was really bad, so I returned and bought this Insignia 48". I must tell you it is much better that I expected, just increase the bass a little bit for a deeper sound. It is perfect for my bedroom. Thank you all.

This TV has beautiful picture. very nice design. I love also the DTS sound system. One feature that I love about this TV is that , it automatically lowers the sound when there are commercials . It senses the commercials, and lowers the volume automatically as you know commercial volumes are louder, to attract you. The sound is just right, and perfect. I had a Vizio , and after 1 year , and half just did not turn on. A burned circuit. This is the best TV I have ever owned.I use Chrome cast to make it a smart TV. Not a big issue.

For under $330 I am very satisfied with the picture. I connected some decent speakers through the headphone outlet that I rarely used for my computer and the sound is now excellent. The HD I get from an OTA antenna is amazing and I am glad I cut the chord. The only thing that would spoil this review would be a short life but at this point I am very happy with the purchase.

I purchased the HDTV about six months ago. I use the television to watch programs, stream movies, and play Xbox One games. The picture quality is great. The built-in speakers are about average for these type flat screen TV's. I currently have a sound bar connected which makes the viewing a very enjoyable experience. There are adequate input/output connections for my needs. I have not had any problems or issues with the TV or remote. For the price, this is a great HDTV.

This is a great, cheap TV. You can't beat the price for a 48" TV. Easy to set up. Decent picture, nothing special. Sound is acceptable.

I was skeptical about buying this TV because it was so much less than any of the others. The Salesperson talked me into trying it. I love it! It is in my bedroom and I usually opt for watching TV from my reclining bed. Beautiful crisp clean picture. Colors are true and I bought the sound bar so they start up at the same time. I will purchase another one for my living room.

This is the 3rd Insignia TV I've bought. They've all been in the 40" range, and this one is the largest. It's actually slightly too large for the room it's in, but it was on sale. The picture is fine for the HD shows I watch, primarily sports. And the sound is a lot better than I expected; I was prepared to buy a sound bar if the audio was weak like the TV it replaced, but for my purposes, it's plenty loud enough.

I'm happy with my purchase. It is definitively good to watch my favorite shows on a HD flat screen rather than my older model t.v.s (fat backs). It wasn't my original choice because I was going for something a little smaller; however, when I saw this television, I knew it was the one for me. I realize that I'm good with just an HD t.v. and not a smart t.v. That will be next for another room. But for now, this is perfect for my family room.

I love this TV! It was so easy to attach the base and choose the settings. The sound and picture are awesome! For the price I paid, this was definitely a great deal.

I had never heard of this brand but decided to take a chance after reading the rave reviews. The TV certainly lived up to my expectations and then some. Great picture and sound at the lowest price. Even better than my Samsung TV in the bedroom which I wish was an Insignia

Recently purchased the insignia 48 in. Tv, and for the price it is what I was looking for in a new tv. Color, and sound quality is impeccable! Would recommend this to anyone wanting more bang for your buck.

This TV has great pictures, sound and classic style. For that kind of price no one can beat it. The quality of the picture is just mind blowing for a little less than $400. Its perfect for a family, student and office. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

This TV is great! I got it for $299 on black Friday and I love it! The only thing I would change is the stand for the TV is 2 feet on the bottom that are 40 inches apart rather than a round stand in the middle.

Excellent picture and sound - perfect size for someone who wants a larger tv screen but doesn't have room for a 55"

Tv has decent picture. Sounds quality is pretty terrible, will want to invest in surround sound or sound bar. Again. get what ya pay for. Cheap tv and it works!

This is a fantastic TV. It has a great picture and you can't beat the price. Highly recommended!

Didn't work for the person I bought it for (cable box issues), but for the cost, size, picture & sound - Good Buy.
