Best purchase I've made in a long time. Great picture quality and good sound. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this tv because of all the positive reviews, but I've found the clarity of the image to be very disappointing. I realize it's only 60 Hz, but all movies and shows seem to be blurry. The volume and smart capabilities all seem up to par, my only complaint is the lack of clarity when watching tv shows or movies. Im considering returning it and buying a different television.

Nice pic plus Roku for price. Sound? Use external.

Got this on sale right after Black Friday. The picture quality is so great for the price! The built-in Roku system is magical and I don't pay for cable because I have plenty to watch on it. The built-in speakers are ok, better to invest in a speaker set or soundbar to pair. Also, the weight of this thing is so light for 48". It was super easy to carry up 2 flights of stairs (I'm a fit petite female). For the price I paid for it, definitely worth it!

I wanted to get a Smart TV, but I didn't want to break the bank doing it. This TV has a great picture and the ROKU features are very easy to use. The variety of apps make it easy to navigate from MLB baseball games to Netflix to video games. I love the simplicity and the style. This TV is as good as many TV's that are 2-300 dollars more.

This is my second roku tv. I already own a larger tcl brand roku tv so I understand how they work. When this insignia tv was first plugged in it booted up to the setup screen but would not recognize any remote control commands. At first I thought it was the remote control but I was able to use the remote with my other roku tv. The best I can tell the remote sensor on the tv is bad. I returned the tv to my local best buy for a exchange. After confirming that the tv was defective they tried to give me the only other tv like it left in stock. I made the salesman unbox the replacement and plug it in(they did not want to). This second tv had the same problem! I do not know if this is a bad batch of tvs or if they were somehow mishandled in transit. I think the problem may be that the remote sensor sticks out from the bottom of the tv and is somehow becoming damaged in transit. I received a refund although the service person claimed that if I took the second tv home and got the geek squad out they could somehow magically repair it. I really wanted the tv but will have to find an replacement elsewhere.

This is a terrific value. It has great picture and excellent sound qualities! I have it in my living room mounted above my fireplace. It is a perfect size. The ROKU is such a great feature. This was an open box, so I saved a few dollars, but I would have bought it any way. The price was much better than all of the competition.

The TV walked me through a series of steps to connect before I was allowed to watch anything. It refused to issue me an activation code, and told me to restart/reset the TV. I did this four times, then called Insignia customer service. First time, got hung up on. Second time, waited 10 minutes and reached a rep who told me that the set had a software fault, they couldn't issue me a code over the phone, and I'd just have to return it to the store for an exchange. REALLY not acceptable. I tried one more thing - I changed the language to French. And activation WORKED! I got the TV set up and switched back to English. This, and the response from the customer service rep, says to me that there is a known issue with English-language activation on this model. If you get it and it gets stuck on the activation code, try changing to French. Also annoying: It comes with English and Spanish printed instructions, but the language choices on the set itself are English and French. What?

Looking for a TV for a camper trailer and was having a difficult time finding one that would fit the bill and the budget. Wanting a smart tv over 40" and under $400 sounded like a difficult task, then we saw this TV. So far it has performed flawlessly and I look forward to using it in the future.

Overview: Terrible sound quality if volume is raised past 50 Detail: If you raise the volume past 50 (1-100 potential), the speakers sound like they are broken and they rattle whenever a person speaks on a show. For paying $400+ with the warranty, if a TV isn't designed to go that loud then simply reduce the volume capability on the TV. What is worse is when I returned it, the customer service representative, who I won't name because she was nice, said "ya, they design them like that on purpose so you buy a sound bar." That is obvious, but not something you should be telling a customer... who just shelled out hundreds of dollars on a non-essential item. I purchased this in Boise, Idaho, store #526. Dear Corporate Best Buy, please let this be known. Thank you. DollarVoter1990

The picture quality is great at this price point. The sound is lacking but this can easily be fixed with external speakers.

Purchased this tv to replace one that had been hit with a WiiU remote a few years ago and the spot was getting more noticeable. I am in love with the picture clarity, sound and abundance of features this tv has!

Bought this tv to replace a regular flat screen. Couldn't be happier. Easy to use, easy to start. Just plain easy. Best thing I've bought this year. Thinking of buying the same model but larger.

Bought this for the gym/game room. Super simple to hook up various systems to it, it's got a great picture, and the value made it perfect for what we were looking for for another room in the house.

The speakers are great. The screen, and the overall quality arr really good for the price. Roku starts up right away. Much better than my apple tv where hulu has issues .

Love this TV! The built in Roku makes it easy to watch netflix, youtube, or any other app we want. Picture quality is perfect and set up was so easy a child could do it.

Really nice picture! Love being able to have all the options on the tv rather than attaching other gizmos. Takes a little bit to turn on and be ready for selecting what you want to do.
