    The product was cool while it lasted, pun intended. Unfortunately my chest freezer didn't work for a solid year before it decided to play out. Come home to find a freezer full - ruined, as the motor apparently just stopped working. I've owned it for 7 months and it won't come back on. Truly devastating to see a freezer full of items for me and my children all ruined! Purchased during the pandemic to keep items stocked (as a single Mom it was hard running to the grocery store and seeing the shelves empty).

    First one I got was damaged on the bottom corner like it had been dropped.. went back and got a new one.. drop a frozen fruit cup in it when loading and it dented the inside really easily.. cheaply made but keeps food frozen like it should

    There is a shelf inside that takes up half the room so all the food is stacked on top or each other. I will need to buy a better one soon. Its ok for a small apartment but not for a family.

    Worst purchase of the decade. Died in 21 days, just past the woefully short 15 day "return period". Not even going to add up the loss for the food in the freezer (that isn't 'garage ready' if it dies). Plus terrible customer support: have to figure out how to get the thing to the store by myself.

    Frosty freezer. Should have bought a better one. Not hard to defrost but it frosted over in less than a year compared to a higher end Frigidaire that I am yet to have to defrost after 5 years.

    We have been waiting for a chest freezer for months. They were out of stock from Covid for quite some time, then checking around I saw they were back in stock. I chose to go with Best Buy because they had an open box freezer in excellent condition. We were willing to drive a little further out to pick it up for some savings. It easily fit in our van without having to lay it down. We brought it home Friday night, plugged it in late Saturday morning, and left it plugged in until about 8:30 pm. Visually it looked brand new, with all the tags still attached, it never got cold. I am incredibly frustrated. Does Best Buy not check their returns to make sure they are even functioning? Clearly, it was returned because it is defective.

    Good Price, Bad MFR Service

    We were able to get a freezer with the pandemic and all. Get it home and let it sit per the Best Buy Associate. Plugged it in 24hrs later, started to get cold and we started putting things in. Fast forward 2 weeks, we didn't overfill the freezer and we started to notice the compressor was not kicking on anymore and realized it stopped. We ended up losing the food we had in the freezer. We contacted the MFR and they were not willing to help us either get it repaired or replaced. Best buy was then out of stock so we ended up returning it,

    I can’t rate at this point because it is a gift Will update after the New Year Gave it 3 stars as I don’t know how quiet it runs and how well it freezes Took out of box and there was no damage

    So far so good it froze myfiods aftermy old one died. But its smaller and interior designing full of foods make it difficult to get to things on the bottom without removing everything.

    It was a great purchase except for the fact that it only had 2 screw on legs and the sales people did nothing to accommodate me in terms of mailing them to me. I was not happy about that.

    This freezer worked only for one day since I picked it up last week. At first it seems to keep things cold for a while but the next day I noticed it couldn’t maintain the low temp. Now it just completely stopped working sitting in my garage. Called to Insignia to troubleshoot but no use. Need to return it to Best Buy as soon as the shelter-in-place order is lifted here.

    You pay for what you get. I use this in my garage and purchased during the Coronavirus stay at home order. When life gets back to normal I plan on purchasing a stand up freezer.

    Looks great. Thought it was a great purchase but after less than a month it still doesn’t get as cold as a freezer should and it’s been on max. And of course Best Buy had a 15 day return policy. Hoping they will be reasonable and at least offer a credit. I’m wondering if this is a dud or just “you get what you pay for”.

    My food unthawed completely. The temperature was on high. I didn’t adjust it. I had to throw all of my food away. I’m too scared at this point to even put anything else in there.

    Over all good purchase. Its only been 1 month since I plugged it in. No cosmetic damages. Internal light is a great feature. I have it set between high and medium.
