The door of the freezer had dent and was broken on the right side. I picked up the freezer from the store and was very disappointed when I saw the damage. I returned the item immediately and asked for replacement.

We bought this freezer to store some of our extra food, as well as pumped milk for our newborn, and it worked rather well for this use. A chest freezer isn't the most convenient solution, but it's a more efficient design. Everything was fine for a while, until it has now just started failing on us. Once back in July 2021, and just today in October 2021.
About the best thing going for it is that it's cheap, but don't expect it to last. Ours lasted about a year and a half, and now we're looking at just replacing it because servicing it will cost more than it's worth.

Decided to go out after only 4 months of having it. Lost 2 turkeys 3lbs of crab legs and a Boston butt. Very disappointed that it decided to just die and loose us a bunch of money.

PICKED UP AT THE STORE when unboxed it had a dent on the front right side but it still worked like a gem,
for the first month and now its a glorified refrigerator.

I bought this freezer in March 2021. Had no issues with it until about a week ago, when it just died for no apparent reason. It makes gurgling noises, the compressor never turns off, and it does not get cold at all.
Since the manufacturer warranty for Insignia products is only 12 months, I am out a freezer now. I recommend getting a better quality freezer rather than an Insignia.

Do not buy from Bridgeton, MO. This location sold me an used freezer and I had to return it and they tried to argue with me about returning it until the General Manager viewed fir his own eyes it was used!

I bought this freezer for my basement but I put a turkey inside and it didn’t handle the weight there’s a whole already on the floor and a little hairline crack on the wall it’s not strong enough wouldn’t purchase again or recommend to anyone !!

Freezer was dented on one side and missing both leveling feet on that side. Too much of a hassle to take back to store. Unbox it before you take it home.

Lost $200 in food. Freezer never got cold enough. I followed the instructions let it sit for 2 hrs before plugging the freezer in. After i plugged it in, I waited over night to put food in it. It just never got cold enough.
