The bounce allows you to direct light towards your subject and allows for creative compositions because you have more control than just hoping the natural light is right. With different options for light temperatures it allows for further control of your images.

However, the 5-in-1 aspect where you have more control over the color as well as the quality of light, is what makes this worth the purchase, especially at so low a price.

The 42" diameter provides for plenty of surface area, and everything zips together for convenient storage and portability. The 42"-ø ring twists and folds for storage much like some windshield screens you may have used. This is much sturdier, however, so I recommend practicing the process of folding it away while in the comfort of your home or studio before using it in the field. Well, that method worked for me, anyway. It took me a few tries.
