I was looking to buy something to help me hook up some Bluetooth devices to my old laptop. Though it wouldn't work on my old laptop that had Windows 10 on it (it would crash every time I tried to connect a Bluetooth device) it work great on my newer up to date desktop! Made it so much easier to hook up my speaker system rather than dragging around a bunch of cords! I would recommend this for anyone looking for a quick fix with little trouble :)

nothing special about this bluetooth add on, it just works and quick to install (just need to download the drivers) and seamless streaming of audio

The usb is easy to install on my laptop and works exactly like it should. It's compact size allows me to keep it plugged in without being in the way or having to store it and lose it.

I connect to my laptop,phone,earbuds,tv,speaker and the fact that it's small, no software it's great...it's cheap and is worth every cent!

Works great does what I want to do range located much sitting in front of it also works with a wireless mouse and keyboard doesn't affect anything satisfied

My laptop lost sound capabilities. After trying to have it fixed someone suggested trying to use a blue tooth speaker. Awesome, I thought only to find out my laptop wasn't blue tooth enabled =( So then I Google to see if there was something I could add to my USB port and there was =) This little guy did the trick and for under $10.00!!!!!

The bluetooth adapter was super simple to install and operate. We bought 2, one for my computer and one for my wifes and they do not interfere.

Pros: Easy of use; Plug-n-play; Easy to connect Bluetooth devices to the PC. I currently have my Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard paired with my PC via the Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter as well as my Phone. So far I have had no issues or complaints with the adapter. Cons: None that I can think of; None that have presented itself.

perfectly easy way to upgrade your pc with bluetooth, plug it in dl the driver and it just works. CAUTION windows7 WOULD NOT support bluetooth, on the same machine running ubuntu i had no issues, this appeared to be a common issue from what i could gather on microsofts forum.

This adapter has worked perfectly for about 30 days now. It is plugged in to a desktop computer that is on 24 hours a day. The headphones I have paired with it always connect flawlessly. The only negative I would say is the site you download the software from is a strange third party that doesn't seem to be connected to Insignia, so who knows how support between the two would work if you have a problem. You just need to pay attention to the order in which you insert the device and install the software.

This device was easy to install and my computer (Toshiba laptop running Windows 8.1) automatically recognized it and installed all the drivers after I plugged it in. My only complaint about this stick, is that my computer does not have a toggle to turn Bluetooth on and off. Only way for me to turn off Bluetooth is by physically removing the Bluetooth USB adapter from my computer. Since this adapter is really tiny and I am afraid I would loose it, so I just leave it plugged in all the time.

I needed something to connect my phone up to my desktop and didn't really wanted to plug something else into it as it was I was running out of USB ports. Nevermind the fact I didn't want to plug something in the bag or take up one more of my life ever running out of PCI slots and have another antenna sticking out the back and making my pc to looking like an alien. As a matter of fact insignia bluetooth hooks up almost as soon as you plug it in and is ready to go my Samsung Note found it right away and as far as transferring files no problem I'd recommend this to anyone. Now I will say this I haven't tried it on the Mac yet so you Mac users out there I don't know but then again I just remembered that Gott built in Bluetooth so you know I made it that's it for now, Jtajk out.

After purchasing my Bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse I found out my laptop did not have Bluetooth, so I had to purchase a Bluetooth adapter. I chose this one because of the price and I have not been disappointed. Works great and I definitely would buy another one if ever in need again.

This is an adapter that allows an older model laptop (one without Bluetooth) to hook up to a Bluetooth speaker. It's about the size of a nickel and hooks up to the thumb drive. I hook my laptop to a digital projector and use this device to divert the sound to a Bluetooth speaker (way better sound than a laptop, not as good as a home theater system). The device has a light in it which lets me know when it's communicating with the speaker. There are occasional (about once every twenty times) timing issues where the speaker lags - Easily fixed by pausing the video and playing again from where you left off. It was $20, much less than a new computer, and I get wireless speakers which is important to me. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who needs it. Different stores seem to stick these in different locations, but if you're in a Best Buy chances are they sell them and have them in stock. Try wireless speakers and also adaptor/connectors areas. Don't be embarrassed to ask an associate. (;

This adapter lets you can connect, wirelessly, up to 7 compatible devices to your USB-enabled laptop from up to 20' away. Does the average person need THAT many? Perhaps not. But, you will be glad if you have THIS one than some other device that doesn't quite do what you need, right?

If you are using a current OS, this should be plug and play. The BT drivers are built into current OSs. Once driver loaded, works just like any BT receiver. What's nice is that you can add BT to a desktop.

I needed this because I wanted to use a bluetooth mouse with a computer that didn't have bluetooth. It works great, I was able to plug it in, I think I had to get the driver from a website though. After I got it installed it works great, I like that it is small.

Took a few minutes to get it set up, but overall it was very easy to do and so far does its job as designed. I only use it within my office so I am not sure how it works at longer ranges or through walls, but I have never had an issue with connectivity.

I only use this for an older laptop that does not have bluetooth. I use it to connect to my UE boom 2 bluetooth speaker. I'm able to easily connect and stream music to my bluetooth speaker. I've noticed it works well over 25 feet as well. Great buy!

Bought this to use with a laptop that does not have blue tooth built in. I had changed the operating system from Micro Soft Vista to Ubuntu 14.10 Linux. I found out that this blue tooth dongle does not work with Linux so I had to return it. That's the only reason for less than 5 stars. I have purchased Insignia products before and have always been satisfied. I'm sure this blue tooth would work well with Micro Soft systems.
