Unit stops turning it doesn't shut-off at the end of record. It leaves the tone-arm in place toward the center of record. Stupid. Then when you lift tone arm to return to cradle the record starts spinning again. More Stupid. I wish I had upgraded. But this was the best feature to price I found.

It is a fully manual turntable. The Overview Description is incorrect. The motor is loud as others have commented, but the noise does not get picked up by the stylus and is not heard thru the speakers. My dust cover had many swirl mark scratches all over the top, but none on the sides. The tone arm is good, as is the counter weight and the anti-skate works properly. The cartridge is a good one (mid level quality) and the sound reproduction was good. Returning due to the scratched cover and not being semi-automatic.

This review is more about the low level of service I received from Best Buy rather than the product. The turntable arrived with a broken stylus so it doesn’t operate properly. (This was an open-box - excellent condition purchase, which is advertised as works as new) Everything else works perfectly fine from what I can tell. Since Best Buy sells an identical replacement part for $24, I thought it would be an easy issue to rectify, but I was clearly mistaken. Best Buy refuses to take care of the problem which would cost less than $24 and wants to replace the entire product which is currently unavailable and no firm date of a restock. From a Customer service standpoint the problem is an easy $24 fix which I would think is a smaller loss than returning the entire product which they would have to fix anyway with the same part plus the labor of the employees to process everything. I guess we all lose in this situation but you would think you wouldn’t want to lose another customer to Amazon over a matter of $24.
