Overall helps with holding the device since its got a rubber texture and does add extra rubber to helpfully protect the device if you did happen to drop it.

The biggest complaint i have with it is that it's rubbery texture picks up a LOT of hair and dead skin but that same material is the reason why I dont feel like my Ally is constantly falling out of my hands. If youre fine having to wipe it off or washing it off every couple of weeks then it's great.
