For half the cost of the official Nintendo kit, this does exactly the same thing and does it well. It is a little tighter fitting around the switch base since it doesn't have the full height sleeve to cradle it, and so is a bit harder to get seated. I've had zero problems with the functionality in hours of using it am very happy with it.

This is definitely worth the cost compared to the original Nintendo dock (which is expensive and hard to find). The Switch does sit a bit tight, but it comes with the dock and even HDMI cord. Great purchase. It even turns on the TV when you connect the Switch. Highly recommended.

This dock is a great alternative to the Nintendo Switch default dock. Don't be fooled by all of the "replacement" docks on Amazon. Those docks all have to use you original Nintendo Switch power cable. That's why this one is such a great deal. It comes with it's own power cable that charges and allows for HDMI output. I haven't found a single other dock that does this without requiring you to use the original Nintendo power cable. This dock has been a great and affordable way for both of my sons to have a dock for the Switch in their bedrooms for when they are playing solo. The dock works perfectly and is less than half of the price of the official Nintendo product. The dock is not quite as sturdy as the Nintendo licensed one, as it doesn't have the tall front wall, but the switch stays in it securely when docked. Overall great product!

The Insignia docking kit works exactly like the original dock that comes with the Switch. We had no problems taking it with us on a recent trip, and I really appreciated that it came with both an AC adapter and an HDMI cable - everything you need to use it is already inside the box. Plus, it's way cheaper than the official dock!

Just adding my positive experience to the other reviews. I can confirm that so far it works exactly like the original Nintendo Switch dock, so if you have several TVs or monitors, this is a no brainer for the price. Comes with AC adapter, dock, and HDMI cable too!

the dock is pretty portable it comes with an extra set of cdmi and ac cables it pretty much a no brainer. this is an amazing travel kit. the only downside is that it only has one USB port so if you trying to use the game cube controllers I don't think the adapter will work with this since you need two USB ports.

We purchased this on a trip when we realized none of us brought our switch dock with us, but it came in quite handy on that trip. We didn't expect much from it as it as a third party dock but it worked just as well as the Nintendo dock, so we held onto it and use it as our backup travel dock.

Great switch dock works just like the original one that you get with switch. makes it easy to put on the dock cause you dock have to put it on directly from the top of the dock like the original one. charges switch like it should and connection to tv works as well as the original one

Third-party Switch docks have a spotty record, with numerous reports of the console's USB input being damaged or voltage issues frying the unit. This has (at least so far) not been the case with the Insignia dock. It's a good quality, highly portable dock at a much more reasonable price than the First-party version.

If you just want an extra dock for your switch, this works great. Just as easy to use as the nes dock, and you can have gels or covers on the joycons and it still fits into the dock. I would prefer this version for travel purposes as well, as it is smaller and easier to pack away.

Honestly, the dock that comes with the switch is poor. It has given me so many problems. This Insignia dock works flawlessly and is so much cheaper to buy an original Nintendo dock. Must buy! You can replace the original and also have multiple locations to play the switch.

I primarily use this dock over the original Switch dock because it's easier to insert my Switch into the dock. I keep the charger as a backup or travel one. Overall, good value for a same functionality as the original Switch dock and charger.

I had tried other docks for the Switch and this one was the only one to work. It's so portable and connects easily. Great for traveling and it is really not pricey at all. I definitely recommend if you want another dock to leave at someone's house, or to carry with you.

Bought this as a second dock for our Switch so we could play on a second TV without moving the original dock which is mounted behind our the living room TV. So much cheaper than the Nintendo branded dock and works great. I will probably buy another to play in my room without the kids, lol

If for any reason that your original Nintendo Switch docking station is no longer working or lost, this in my opinion is the best alternative. It comes with everything that you need, USB C to HDMI cable and power cord and works just as well as the original. Well worth the money.

I bought this dock to have it setup to my other tv and didn't want to pay the full price for the licensed dock. it works as advertised so i can't complain about anything. It also has the added benefit of not having plastic touching the screen of your switch so it won't leave any scratches.

This is a cheaper option to add a Nintendo Switch dock to a second tv in the house. This works just the same as the original dock. The display works and it charges my Switch, and I have never had any issues getting it to work properly.

Being the only one with a Switch in my group of friends, this dock has been very useful when putting on demonstrations at their houses. Very small and comes with it's own HDMI cord, so I did not have to worry about buying another one or having to unplug the HDMI cord from the native switch dock.

much better design than the original that comes with the purchase of the nintendo switch, makes it easier to place in dock and less risk of scratching the screen on the switch, i use it as a second room dock but i may get another as primary to replace the dock that came with my switch console

This is a great add-on to the Nintendo Switch system if you have multiple televisions in your home and would like to be able to play the Switch on either one without having to pull and re-plug. The price makes it even more attractive. It also will not scratch the display of your Switch console like the original provided by Nintendo.
