Unbelievable Quality! So Happy!

Let me start by saying I have bought so many different types and brands of these speakers that it's unbelievable. I have had at least 20+. (I've given all but 1 away now...) This is the best 1 Hands Down!!!! It is heavy enough to give just enough loud but not shaky-sounding bass, as well as supreme quality sound with the mid's low's & high's too! I've never had this brand speaker before but it connected easily via Bluetooth & I think it'd be SOOO perfect for a pool party w the EXTREMELY long lasting battery! & the loud sound that actually has some range to it! Or u could even just listen to it while you clean or vacuum around the house. Not one wire needed! I Adore this! I've never been so happy with a speaker as I am with this 1!!! I say if you are on the fence, buy it or you'll regret it! :) That's just in MY opinion. Hagd!

I liked that it played really well with my phone and the other devices I tested inside the house but it wasn’t so great outside. I knew it wouldn’t of been as loud due to open space but I really couldn’t enjoy the music as much. Well the event I brought it for is done and I love using it in my bathroom to get me in a good mood while I shower. It’s loud enough to cover my bad singing, so that’s a plus. And my 3yr old loves dancing and singing with it as well.

I enjoyed a couple of weeks of playing golf with my son-in-law in the Lake Charles Louisiana area a couple of months ago. I found it interesting that nearly everyone in a golf cart on those courses had a portable speaker bluetoothed to their mobile device enjoying music between shots. Rather than being distracting as I would have thought as a traditional golfer, it lightened the atmosphere and I found it relaxing and enjoyable. So when I returned to the Washington Metro Area I decided to pick up one I could use. I didn't want to spend too much as it'll likely get banged around a bit bouncing in a golf cart or thrown in my golf bag and probably get exposed to the elements as I play in the rain, snow, etc. So when I saw this on sale for less than $30 and the reviews looked pretty good I nabbed one.
In addition to the price and reviews I liked the fact that this unit provided the ability to charge other devices - blue-toothing an iphone for a 5 hour round of golf while using an iphone app to determine yardage to the hole can drain the phone's battery fairly quickly so I figure this bit would come in handy.
So how do I like it? For the price it's hard to complain so I won't. The unit seems pretty rugged. It seems like it'll be fine in the weather. It's certainly heavy enough to not bounce around too much. The neon colors available make it less likely that I'll accidentally leave it behind somewhere. The device charging piece works well. It's quite easy to use. In terms of sound quality, it's OK. Make no mistake, this is not a Bose speaker. A lot more bass would be nice. Having the ability to tune the bass/treble, etc would be nice. The volume range is adequate for riding in a golf cart or playing music on a deck table while you smoke a cigar and drink a beer. The sound will not fill a room. You won't be using this instead of your Sonos or to power your party. I'd view it as a portable personal speaker.
OK, I said I wouldn't complain but I'll offer two improvements they might make that would make it a 3+. 1) the "buttons" on top of the unit control the volume, allow you to answer the phone or make a call, etc. The buttons have the normal symbols on them +, -, >>, <<, but they're the same color as the rest of the unit so they're very difficult to see (especially if you're not right on top of the unit and/or don't have your reading glasses on). I used a little black magic marker on my neon red speakers to fill in the indentations for the symbols .... it's not 'pretty' but it makes it much more user friendly. 2) Every time you change the volume the darn thing BEEPS. I say BEEPS in caps because it's a loud beep for every push of the button or touch of the volume slider on your iphone. THIS is quite annoying. How about a smooth change in volume without the darn beep!
So, depending on what you're looking for this may or may not be a unit that interests you. While it's adequate for me and my purpose I would have been disappointed if I had paid more than the $29 or whatever it was that I paid. So when I check the "would recommend to a friend" I would also give him or her the caveats discussed here.

I have to say the price I paid for it has been worth it. Very affordable and it has a great sound. I like that it's Bluetooth and I don't have to be so close to the speaker with my phone. Another plus is you can charge your phone or other devices with it.

Set this speaker up with my desktop to save desk space. Fits perfect centered in front of the monitor. Very surprised at the sound quality for such a small speaker. Seems to hold a charge for quite awhile. No trouble connecting with Bluetooth and it's perfect for streaming from my cell phone or laptop as well.

This speaker has great sound, paired with my phone easily, worked well with my iPod Classic (when I remembered to turn it on first) and has good battery life. It is a bi-directional Bluetooth device that acts as a speakerphone when paired with my Android phone. It's about the size of two average paperback books

I bought this for $25 and it connected easily to my Galaxy S5. Sound is great and plenty loud. Love the fact that the internal battery has so much capacity. I haven't tested it camping yet, but I remember friends brought their Bose Mini Bluetooth speaker and was looking for a charger after a few hours of use. At this price, I could have bought 8-Insignia speakers. One qualm I have is the embossed controls. In low light, it's impossible to see which button does what. It should have contrasting embossing on the buttons. It's a power bank as well though I couldn't find anything in the documentation as to its capacity.

This Insignia bluetooth speaker is fantastic for the money. I got it for $49. It is a stereo speaker.
The sound quality is excellent (again, for the money - don't expect Bose sound) for what is is. It has good mids/highs and has decent bass.
It contains a large internal battery for charging other devices via a USB jack in the back. It also has a mini USB for charging the speaker itself, and a mini-aux input for other devices that lack Bluetooth. Under normal use, I had no issues with reception up to 30 feet away. Beyond 40 ft, I got connection hiccups. Because of the large internal battery, it weighs more than a typical speaker of its size great battery pack.
It is water resistant, but not waterproof, so avoid getting wet if possible. Most of the speaker is surrounded by a rubber/plastic casing surrounding the buttons and inputs/outputs. I use it in bath room with Amazon alexia dot for music I put on the shelf where there no plug so it great for me when I shower and shave and take it to work. great battery life.
If you're looking for a great bluetooth speaker bargain, you won't find anything better than this one .

I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker to replace the $299 one that just pooped out after 4 years. But...I wasn't ready to spend that type of money at this time. So, I started to look at less expensive options.
I did some research and was drawn to this little speaker from Insignia, the Best Buy "house" brand. I've had other Insignia products in the past and figured it would be worth a try, especially at this price point.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this unit was a pretty good speaker, a good value AND, as a bonus, a good battery charger for my phone.
It doesn't fill a room with booming bass like my old Jambox speaker did, but it does fit in my backpack nicely when I go out and has come in handy when travelling as well.
Now all I need to do is to remember to pack the little USB cable when I take it out!

Speaker Sound Review

I had the smaller version and wanted a fuller sound portable bluetooth speaker, but i did not want to spend a lot. The small version lacked bass & was ok at low to medium volume. In my research, i saw there was a larger version (a.k.a,Insignia Brick) which also could charge devices. When i got the Insignia Brick, i did my due diligence, as i always do with ALL my speakers (Mirage, Polk Audio, Paradigm, Bose, NHT, UE Boom, JBL) and take the time to break them in by playing the speaker at low volume for 40 hours. Many people make the mistake of cranking up the speaker to almost max volume as soon as they get it. IMO, you are overloading the speaker reflex, which in the long run will make the speaker sound distorted. I listen to a various types of genre so here is my feedback on the speaker. All types of music (jazz, piano, country, pop, heavy metal, rock, grunge, dubstep) sound great at low-to-medium volume. From medium-to-high volume, jazz, piano, soft country, still sound good. Medium-to-high volume does a descent job filling a 19ft x 14ft room. However, dont expect to feel like your at a dance club or rock concert. Unfortunately, heavy metal, rock, some pop songs, grunge, and dubstep sound a little muffled and lack some high treble tones. Dont get me wrong, it is not terrible, but dont expect crisp clarity or solid bass at high volumes. This is still a very good speaker to have with a couple of friends and music in the background, but dont expect a kareoke night. I love the portability of these speakers. I have other portable speakers, but this is perfect during my hotel stays on my business trip. It is 100% better than the iHome speakers typically in the hotels. I love my large UE BOOM speaker, but it is larger than what i want to you pack in my suit case. FYI, the UE BOOM that is not compatible with Alexa sounds so much better than the new UE Boom that works with Amazon Alexa. Hope this helps!!!!

I use the speaker together with my laptop, as at times the volume of my laptop is not sufficient. I'm satisfied with the strength of volume in the speaker, and so far the bluetooth hasn't given me much trouble. It isn't as effective distance-wise as I thought it'd be, however, and works better if it's within say, 4 meters, with no obstruction in between. Also, it's true that when the battery begins to wane, it makes alarm sounds that don't quit until it has recharged a bit. However, it does work while it's hooked up to the computer to recharge, and the battery lasts for days when it IS charged. I also did use the speaker to charge my phone on one occasion and it worked great.

This portable speaker is great! The sound is just what I expected. The Bluetooth connection is great so you won't have to plug in your devices in and have a cord bothering you and It's light to be carried anywhere. The battery lasts long amount of hours with a full charge. And the addition of the power bank is excellent!

I bought this to keep in my bathroom for getting ready in the morning and using in my shop during building projects so I was interested in it being water resistant and well built.
Pros:
At $24.99 at time of purchase you're definitely getting a great value. Overall I'm very impressed with the sound this produces; the highs are nice and clean and the lows are nice, rich, and full.
Cons:
I've only a few of gripes with this stereo speaker.
As you adjust the volume, either from the speaker or from your player device, it beeps every time to alert you of the change. I find it to be somewhat distracting and haven't come across this with other bluetooth speakers.
My second gripe is the speaker's range is kinda disappointing. If there's nothing in between me and the speaker (walls or doors etc.) I've only had about a 15 foot range. If there are obstructions it's dropped to around 6 feet.
My third gripe is regarding the usb charging cable is very short so be mindful of that (it has to be right next to your charger and outlet.)
All in all I'd recommend the Insignia NS-CSPBTHOL-BK. It's a higher price point but it's got a better range and it doesn't make noises when you change the volume.

The speakers give a bit more bass than the cheaper Insignia model. Definitely long lasting battery. Sound could have been louder and better for the size and weight. Sound is better than the cheaper Insignia model. A bit on the heavier side too. Smells a bit weird (battery smell). Havent checked the water resistant feature.

Best Bluetooth speaker

After researching online then going in the store to check, this is by far the best bluetooth speaker! The battery lasts me about 4-5 days on a single charge and I'm using it about 2-3hrs per day.
I work in a very noisy, airport environment and I am still able to hear the music loud and clearly above the noise.
If the music being played has bass, this speaker will vibrate and move, lol! I've remied this by wrapping a couple of rubber bands around it.
Also, one of the unique features of this speaker compared to others, is I'm able to charge my phone from it. I have tried this a couple of times with my Samsung GS5 phone, and got it up to 55% before the speaker battery died. I started at around 10%. It did take some time though. In an emergency however, I can see this as a very useful feature, but I don't intend to use it often. For the price I paid for (which was $25) it is the best Bluetooth speaker compared to long lasting, bass thumping, sound clarity and value.

I got this speaker for my mom for Christmas. She loves to have a speaker by the pool and sometimes to use around the house while she's cleaning. We have had previous problems with the sound not being loud enough for her to actually enjoy the speakers, so I read earlier reviews and they did give me hope.
We got the speaker and she loves it. It was very easy to set up and sync with her phone, it's a very cute color (we got the blue one), and the sound is incredible for such a decent sized speaker. I've heard louder speakers and I've seen smaller speakers, but this one is worth every penny I paid for it and I'm hoping it will be sufficient come summer and my mom uses it by the pool while outside. Overall a good quality as well. It is a little heavier than one would expect but that isn't a problem or anything.
I want to make a note, also, that I state it's a good speaker for light use because she won't be using it every single day and when she does use it, it won't be in harsh conditions. When it is outside it will still be sheltered and taken good care of, so I'm not sure how it would stand to someone who is a little more rough than my mom would be.
