Essential bracket to install SSD's in desktop PC's

This bracket seats most standard size SSD's. Great to have a durable metal product. The configuration & screw hole placements allowed choices in alignment within the drive bay of an eMachine desktop, allowing me to fix it in the upper bay area to prevent SATA connector wires from being cramped & bent.

Allows smaller 2.5 SDD drives to fit in desktop

If you have a desktop PC, most likely the bays are either 3.5 inch or 5.25 inches. This allows you to put the new 2.5 inch SSD drives into the 3.5 inch bays. It costs a little more than those I have seen elsewhere online; however, if you take the price of shipping into consideration... it's about the same when purchased in store.

I often wish SSD's came with their own 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, but I realize there are times that you may not need one, and the added cost would probably be more than what's available aftermarket, just like this adapter. It's well-thought, and the least bulky, and at the time, was also the least expensive option available at the time. The screws fit, the adapter leaves room for even 90-degree cables to connect to the drive, and it's a small footprint.

Bought a Solid State Drive for my PC and there was no place to mount it.... So BACK to the store I go only to have to buy this guy. Whatever you do, don't drop the little screws or you'll never find them. Man, they're small. This thing sure beats tie wraps !!

Nice easy mount tray for the new SSD

In some computers the change from a regular Hard disk may require a mount tray to securely mount a SSD type drive in your PC. This is a strong tray engineered with minimal weight and maximum rigidity. Check the size of the drive cavity in your computer to determine if you need one of these mounts.

Convert a 3.5 inch disk to 2.5 inch

Bought to replace 3.5 disk in desktop with 2.5 inch SSD. Worked OK in my PC but could have used some additional holes for both system mount and disk mounting to adjust for a wider variety of systems. A previous tray mount for another system had these additional holes which made it useful in more systems - 4 stars.

Needed to start fresh with my home desktop. Decided to go with an SSD this time around. But in order to use the SSD I needed a mount for it. This kit did the job. An extra plus was the small screwdriver that was included. Take your time and this process will still only take you 5 minutes to do.

I was really pleasantly surprised that Best Buy would carry a component like this. I built an HTPC that only uses solid state drives and realized that where I wanted to place the SSD was going to be a problem so instead of making the trek to micocenter I tried Best Buy and there it was ! (Never assume Best Buy doesn't have it)

If you're replacing and HDD drive with a SSD drive in a PC mainframe, some type of mounting bracket is a must for proper installation. This bracket worked well in my Dell XPS 8700. I had to do a little improvising to make it work, but it was pretty easy to use for the most part.

Not really. But if you want to keep things nice and tidy inside your case than you need to be able to mount the brand new 2.5" form factor SSD you bought somewhere inside the case instead of just...hanging out...wherever. It does what it says it does and it does it well.

I've used quite a few of these for installing SSD's in desktop computers. Works well. Only had a few instances when they don't fit when using them in cases that use those tool-less hard drive rails to install hard drives, but overall it's great.

This small folded piece of metal with holes in it is being used to hold an SSD securely inside a computer that was built before SSDs were invented. Note that it's just a piece of metal, it doesn't allow the SSD to connect to the computer, other hardware is required for that.

When putting a 2 1/2 inch SSD into a full sized desktop, a bracket like this is needed because 3 1/2 form factor is the normal internal drive size on most except desktops that are SSF and USSF size. It does a good job of securing the SSD at a moderate cost.

Easy Installation into 3.5 HDD drive bay for conversion to 2.5 SSD drive bay. Or, if your just looking for screws to fit you 2.5 drive bay this is it, your not going to find this screw size at a hardware store - soooo $10 screws it is ;)

Purchased this mount to install the Samsung Evo 860 ssd in my desktop computer. Used the included screws to attach the ssd to the mount and to attach the mount to my hard drive frame. Worked without any issues. I'd give it 5 stars if it was 2-3 dollars cheaper.
