The major flaw with this is that the 1/4" connection that attaches to the base plate is a friction fit connection and if its ever knocked even slightly, that connection is loosened. On mine it got so loose that it wasn't even able to hold the action cam without falling out of the connection point rendering is completely useless. For a piece of equipment meant to be used with decently rough conditions, the fact that this becomes loose so easily is very disappointing. Spend the extra money and get a higher quality mount.
