    I needed a simple USB device to read the dozens of SD cards I had accumulated from my digital cameras and old cell phones. Virtually all devices seem to use the SD format so this reader is fine for my needs. However, I still have a couple of old Sony Memory Sticks which I don't think this reader can read.

    My old memory card reader played out, so at the last minute I had to find a new one. I was looking for my old one but I guess they don't make that type anymore but this one is a better buy. Love it

    Purchased this by default as my local Best Buy didn't carry MicroSD cards that weren't packaged with an adapter, which I didn't really need. This one works fine, so I gave my old adapter to my son.
