My laptop had no SD slots, but had several USBs, so this was able to plug into a USB port and connect a microSD card. The Marine chart plotter also could not take a very large card, or a very fast card, so I did not look for super high storage capacity or super high transfer speed. It worked well and transferred the data without error.

There is nothing new under the sun. Right? Wrong! This little guy works and works well. And it is so small. No cord. USB "A" and "C." No software. Just insert your card, plug it in and it rocks!
