There many more expensive USB microphones you can buy, but for function and easy, you'll find it hard to beat the Insignia USB Microphone. My need was simple, I needed of a good quality microphone to dictate to my computer and give commands. It needed to sit on a flat surface with some adjustment features for position, at the same time it needed to be big enough that I wouldn't have to fumble with it being in the proper positioned, but not so big that I wouldn't have the space for it on my already crowded desktop. I didn't need it to be wireless, as I'm only going to be using it at my desk. The Insignia, USB Microphone fit the bill, it does everything I need to it do, without having to pay for bunch of additional features I don't need or will likely never use. I don't have dreams of being a podcaster, I just need functionality for what I'm doing. It's not bad looking either. ;) I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

Excellent microphone for high quality zoom meetings, or voice narration or recording. Installation and drivers all went very smoothly simple plug in with USB to micro USB on the back of the mic. Microphone range seems good, speaking within a foot or two comes across clearly; you do not need to be right against the mic to get a good recording. Minor detail, but the mounting screw at the base of the mic is somewhat shallow (only get one or two complete turns), but still mounts easily and securely to any camera mount, tripod, or clip-on quarter inch screw mount (standard mounting for any camera etc). I have very limited experience with microphones and recording, but this serves my needs for some voiceover work and meetings online.

I've been using my Insignia USB Microphone for around a week now and I must say I absolutely love it! After opening the package I was pleasantly surprised on the build quality and looks. The microphone is heavy and the stand does a great job supporting the Mic, and its fully adjustable. Plug and play and you're off and running. I would highly recommend this microphone to anyone starting off with blogging or recording YouTube video's- For under $50 this is a great value with very nice sound quality!

Quite a fantastic mic for the money. I am in many large online meetings and found that my USB camera mic was not picking up my voice well enough for me to be heard over the other participants. I added this mic today and had several people call out that they could hear me clearly. I would highly recommend this mic.

This is a nice mic, and a great value. It has a weighted base that keeps it put on your desk. I got this for my sons gaming computer and he likes it. He uses it for online classes as well. It has great clarity. It has a button on the device to allow you to mute it

I really didn't want to spend $100+ dollars on a "brand name" microphone when I'm not recording songs or professional videos. This serves its purpose of being significantly better than the mic that comes with my laptop. Now if you have a PC with no mic, this one is a no brainer. Yes the $100 dollar ones will make you sound like a rock star :) but if that's not what you need this is perfect. Also, it is smaller than the more expensive ones, desk mount make it very convenient and it is threaded with a 1/4" hole like a tripod thread which greatly increases it functionality.

This microphone is high quality. The sound very clear. I use it for my YouTube blogging! Excellent buy!

Sound quality is very good. I didn’t have any problems connecting to my computer and after I adjusted volume of computer it’s sound is excellent. No complaints

I wanted something simple that hooks up through usb, and this mic turned out great. Order was also delivered very timely despite the pandemic.

Ordered this online and they gave me an SD Card. This review is not totally related to the performance of the microphone but beware. I had to go to Best Buy and return the item and just got a refund. Called Best Buy support and they didn’t do anything for me. Just told me to go to the store and return the item. In the end, I didn’t get my microphone, I wasted my time waiting for this item to arrive only for my microphone to be an SD card.

I purchased this product, because I teach remotely, and I'm on Zoom calls frequently for work. I tested this against my computer microphone with my husband as the guinea pig. He stated that the Insignia mic was a much better quality. With that being said, I would recommend anyone working virtually these days to invest in a mic other than what comes with your computer. I bought a $3 fuzzy thing (I can't remember what they're called, lol) to go over it to help soften any p's or s's in my speech. Works beautifully. The mic is small and has a flat stand. I place it right next to my computer. It moves up, down, and to the left and the right. It has an on and off button on the top. Plugs into a USB port. If you don't have enough USB ports on your computer, consider getting a USB port hub. I got the Insignia Travel Hub that holds four USBs to plug my mic in. The mic doesn't take up too much space and it can pick up my voice without having to be right on top of it. I recommend!

No matter if you are attending a classes from home or playing onlime with your friends this microphone will allow you great experience with simple set up, small space that occupies and great quality at reasonable price.

I got this last week to teleconference from home. I did not want the headset and boom mic if I could avoid it. This thing works perfectly. I can hear other attendees through my PC speakers, and talk in a normal voice with this mic on my desk, just in front of my monitor. Others tell me my voice comes through clear. And there is no echo from the PC speakers. And my head is unencumbered with a headset, boom mic, and cord! This was a very good purchase! Oh, and windows 10 recognized it immediately on plug-in. They're was ZERO setup. Volume levels, etc were perfect - out of the box.

Works about as good as can be expected. I bought this from my grandson who is learning how to stream and he's very happy with it so far. It would be nice if it came with a few more accessories rather than just the standard base. maybe that's why it's the price it is. You get the microphone and just the standard base no wind sock or any other accessories. It is affordable and does a great job. You can't go wrong if you buy one.

I really like this microphone. It is very easy to use. I have a new MacBook Air 2 so be sure to have the extra cord to plug in a USB. The sound is great and it is very easy to use. I am very surprised at the quality of this relative to the price! Great buy!

Affordable and simple to use option to improve audio during Zoom meetings. Far superior to any built-in laptop microphone. Simply plugs into USB and Zoom automatically detects it and defaults to it. The mute button on the front is very handy. I've recommended this numerous times to my staff and colleagues.
