As much as I enjoy shopping at Best Buy (love the Geek Squad) I find that their pricing on accessories can be quite pricey. I was able to find a comparable item online with free delivery at a fraction of the price. Never used the item as I returned it the same day.

Works well on computer to give second vga monitor.

I paid more than I wanted for this adapter but it seems to work okay. It took awhile for my video card to adjust to it and I had to tweak and play with it some to get it to work, but finally it did so I kept it.

I bought this item not thinking that I needed to download drivers to use it. That's my fault. But when I downloaded the driver from insignia, it locked my computer up. Not once, but twice I ended up with a black screen and cursor. Never did get it to work.

At the recommendation of the Geek Squad I purchased this connector to provide a link between my PC projector and PC (which has no vga port). It did not solve the problem. Instead, the Geek Squad recommended an VGA to HDMI connector, which does work.

Not sure if defective or just poor quality. After lots of fiddling with the drivers couldn't get Windows 10 to properly recognized the monitor and give full display options. Upgraded to an HDMI unit and was in business.

box says good for windows including vista and xp. Not true. called manufacturer and they said they don't have anything that supports those versions. instructions inside box is correct - does not include vista or xp.

Connects well to laptop. Good quality for the price

The adaptor's box shows outside to be compatible with Widows 10. Well, that was not the case. A software needs to be installed and it jammed my computer twice. I had to take it to back to the store and they are looking at it.

I tried to install this item on 2 pc's. I have since had to format and reinstall them both because the driver for this thing messed up the existing video drivers so bad it couldn't be saved. DO NOT BUY THIS!

(yes, I yelled) I did read the reviews but I thought "I am smarter than all those Windows 10 users who couldn't get it to work". Well, I am not. I saved a system restore point and then downloaded the latest drivers. Locked at startup the first time. After a couple restarts I restored to my last known good configuration and, being stubborn, tried again. Same result - [insert definition of insanity here] This product just does not work. If you are one of the lucky few it looks like it may work. Is it worth the risk?

It is hard to get excited about a USB to VGA adapter, but Insignia does it again and changes the game. I am over the moon about this thing. Even if you dont have immediate USB to VGA needs right now, buy several of these NOW just in case. Pure joy!

Tried this device on 2 different Win 10 machines through USB 3.0 and caused both to become unstable. Had tried to install drivers beforehand but they do not exist on the included disk or Insignia website.

Works most of the time, but on some computers (less than a year old) the 3rd screen just dies. We have to plug and unplug the cable and switch ports multiple times to get a picture, not always successful.

I'm sure the device works great, but it didn't work for me when I tried to get my new laptop to connect to an older monitor. I tried several times, but game up. It's ok - but I never got it to work.

Does the job but did end up returning it since I bought it to hook up dual monitors. Didn't work for my second monitor and the highest resolution is 720.

after installing the drivers for this product, it caused an issue with my PC where it would not boot. Not in safe mode, etc.. Had to re-install windows 7 and ended up losing data.
