    Working from home with an older monitor and this did the trick to work with my laptop. Pricier than you could pick one up in Amazon though. Lesson learned.

    I'm sure that it will work fine for its intended purpose, but for my needs it is the incorrect part, therefore I cannot state whether it works as it is intended. I did not select this item, I told the Geek Squad rep what I needed and this is what was brought back to me. Unfortunately I did not look at it to see that it was not going to work for me. Maybe I should have rated it lower, but it is not a faulty part as far as I know, it's just not the correct part for my needs.
