These filters are just as good as the LG filters that come with the fridge. Filters last about 7 months with normal daily use. Water in Colorado is some of the best in the nation so it's hard to compare but I suspect that is why the filters last longer here.

I had read online that Insignia had a replacement filter to fit my LG refrigerator, but I was skeptical about its quality (e.g. build & filter quality). I then read a few other reviews that claimed that this filter was either rated the same or higher quality of the original LG filter! And at half the price! I went to Best Buy and they had them in stock, so I purchased it and installed it. The fit feels a little looser than the original, but it's actually been working (no leaking) and the water quality tastes either the same to better than the LG filter! I would definitely recommend this filter and at half the price of the LG filter, why not!

Cheaper than LG branded filters with no apparent loss of function or lifespan

Less expensive in price, but not quality, I have been using an Insignia filter for my LG refrigerator for quite some now and have been happy. The only thing (and this is minor) keeping the filter from getting a 5-star review is the wonky attachment process. Be careful when installing to make sure that you have the filter properly attached before running water through it.

Does a great job filtering the water. Lasts longer than the recommended 6 months.

Have this filter installed in the fridge, by it self it might help you get great tasting water depending where you live, I have it daisy chain with another filter under the sink and and between the two I get great tasting water.

I have been using these filters for a while now. They work great and we can't tell any difference in water taste / quality from the LG brand.

This filter may not last as long as the name brand version but the price makes up for it. We have been using this version for more than year now.

I recommend filling two or three glass before drinking to clear out the lines but made my normally hard water taste like bottled! water!!!
