    Store staff recommended this 2-pack as an alternate to the LG branded filters. I'm kind of a brand guy and would generally prefer a product (in this case a filter) that was made for a specific purpose. Well, cost rules out some times. This 2 pack was at least $10 cheaper than 2 singles of the LG variety.

    These filters are what I always use. The LG brand are way to expensive and I can't tell any difference? The both need changed at about the same time yet these are half the price of the LG's and it would be my guess the same supplier makes them.......save my money to retire early!

    So BestBuy sells two Insignia filters that were both listed as appropriate non-oem replacements for my LG fridge. The first one I purchased leaked water immediately after installing it, and wouldn't stop leaking. I returned it to the local store (bought it online), and they replaced it witha nearly-identical model with an ever-so-slight design difference. Second filter works like a champ, and for 1/3 of the cost of the LG replacement. Just make sure you get the right SKU!

    I use to buy the authentic water filters which cost $20 more than these Insignia filters. I decided to try the Insignia filters and notice no difference in water taste or quality. Save your money and go with Insignia. You can even buy the 2-pack for the same price as one LG filter.

    The LG Insignia water filter is a great buy -- the best I've found for the money. Now I'm no water expert, but the quality of the water passing through the filter is just as good as the "official" LG filter; no discernible difference. My recommendation; get this ... save money.
