Product consists of 2 pieces: the large "bean bag" base with an attached bracket. The second piece consists of a small plate with the ball that snaps into the Garmin. The ball piece attaches to the base using a friction fit that lacks a positive connection. After some use, the plate-and-ball piece comes loose and the Garmin falls off. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to orient the unit so that gravity keeps the plate-and-ball piece attached to the base, at least when at rest on the dashboard. Just be careful when picking it up. IMO, this is a really poor design.

Unit stayed in place and held my Garmin Nuvi 2597 just fine but the arm does not swivel and it is so short that it limited the adjustment of the GPS. I ended up returning it. For a smaller GPS it might be fine

Exactly what I was looking for. Can be seated any where. And transfered to other cars. However it does not fit my Garmin. It is for newer models. Plan on taking it back

Must get, it’s lightweight and very effective. If I need to put my Garman out of the sun I lightly pick it up and put it on the floor love it.

Although the item works, I find that it is too bulky to do the job and that it tends to slide around on the top of my dashboard, which it is not supposed to do.

This is the best way to mount my new Garmin without having to suction it to the windshield. If never moves from the spot that I set it.

Weighted dashboard mount helps with positioning once you get it in the correct position. It is cumbersome, but it serves the purpose for us. It has many positions.

Makes GPS easier to use. No worries about suction cup falling off of window and GPS flying onto the dash

Doesn’t moves or pop off like a suction cup. Bulky but a sure grip keeps it in place even over rough roads.

The neck on the Dash Pad is not long enough to allow for the GPS to be vertical, it can only be slanted at the wrong angle.

This holds my gps perfect so it site on my dash. This makes it easier to see without taking my eyes off the road

It doesn’t fit well with Garmin products it is after market product, don’t buy it for your Garmin the ball doesn’t fit
