I use Turbo Tax every year since it's easy to use and navigate in. It comes with a free State program. The Federal progam allows you to file electronically for free, the state charges you a fee to file electronically. I usually print my State return out and mail it rather than pay the $19.99 fee. I highly recommend this program for filing your income tax

Turbo Tax utilizes the "ShoeBox" approach. Just divide your information into categories such as W-2, Dividends, Retirement, Expenses, etc. Then Turbo Tax guides you category by category for the data. It remembers all your information and next year if you use Turbo Tax, it will show you that information and let's you update or eliminate anything that has changed. Finally..... Do your taxes in a matter of a couple of hours

TurboTax does what it says, very user friendly and much more cheaper than a tax consultant.

I have been happily using TurboTax Deluxe for years. I was very dismayed last year when Turbo tax deleted the Schedule E capability from the Deluxe, which meant Schedule E filers had to use the more expensive Premier grade product. However, the Scedule E was put back into the Deluxe for the 2015 tax year version. If Intuit did not put the Scedule E back into the Deluxe, they would have lost a long term customer.

I've used Turbo Tax every year for a few years now. I have what I would call simple taxes (income, mortgage interest, donations, etc.) and it walks me right through with little trouble. It also carries over info from previous years which makes filling even easier. Never had a problem and I'm done fairly quick. My one complaint is it charges to file your state return which you can do by yourself online for free.
