This adapter works perfectly to extend my laptop's (Windows 10) screen to my two monitors (ViewSonic). Both monitors immediately worked upon plug in. 5 stars for functionality of the displays.
I docked one star because the design of the USB-C cord is so stiff and short that it is annoying to position my laptop out of the way once plugged in. However, for the price and given the functionality of the displays this is only a minor inconvenience.

Works great, not finicky about which port is used with a single monitor, and comes with a durable metal casing

It worked fine in the beginning, but stopped working after less than 2 months. Please find better product than this!

I returned this to the store because it doesn't function as discribed on the BestBuy.com web pages. There were no problems with the return process.
The web description says this is compatible with Mac. However, my 2017 15" Macbook Pro displayed the same image on both monitors. Reading the printing on the package actually makes the point quite clear: "host system with MST-enabled can operate in extend mode; without MST, operates in mirror mode only" and also "Mac OS does not support MST." It would have been nice if the BestBuy.com pages included that.
It does what is supposed to do well, but that's not the use case I have, and BestBuy should update their web pages.
I eventually found a device from startech.com that lets both monitors work independently.
