I called to have an "island hood" installed. For some reason the word island hood ended up in the description but it was never truly explained to the people who were going to install it. They were all great people but they did not have the ability to install an island hood. (Someone really does need to work on scheduling things correctly) Once it was scheduled with Jim after talking to him I knew he knew what needed to be done. He called me, got the model numbers from my island hood and looked up the manual and was describing what needed to be done. He did not cut corners by putting it in where the previous hood was he put it where the hood needed to be based on the stove. The hood looked absolutely perfect. But to not be more happy septic it had been scheduled correctly the first or second time. But again that had nothing to do with the contractors.

I had to translate the instructions to the installers. I also had to climb onto the counter to assist them in the install as they were about to give up and I showed them how to install it. Looks good now.

Installers showed up on time. We’re very professional and did a quality job. They were very careful not to damage my new tile work while installing the stove vent hood. Note: Prior to installation ensure that your electrical outlet is in the proper position needed for vent hood. Refer to the installation specs for proper placement of plug outlet prior to installation. Mine was not in the correct spot and I had to have it moved. This delayed my installation for two weeks.

Thank installer did not use the provided template or hardware. Drilled 2 huge holes and used butterfly style attaching hardware. They didn’t use or follow the instruction manual at all. Install is off center and they did not fully install the rest of the hood. They threw out the box and remaining pieces And it wasn’t until they had gone that I realized that they totally messed this up. They took the “extra” attaching hardware with them and now I have to find machine screws to attach the vent cover to the hood and the extension to the bottom piece attached to the hood and we are missing the 8” pipe so we can use the hood’s recirculating feature. Without it, it’s just a fancy light and clock at this point. They also ‘installed’ my cooktop and they left it unsecured to the counter top. The hardware is still in the packet that cake with the appliance. I have the remaining pieces in my garage and awaiting Geek Squad to make it right. Awaiting to hear back for a week now...

My Thermador wall mounted hood is just what I expected. Looks amazing, easy to use, LED lights look great and powerful motor. My only issue is with 3rd party company that Best Buy sent out to install it. Ive had a number of appliances installed by 3rd party companies that Best Buy sends and they have been great. This last one kept telling me they had a time constraint and they have several appointments booked for the day which is great but I honestly didnt need to know this. Its not my fault that hood and cover are really large and a bit heavy(max at 48 inches). They should have known this before hand and planned accordingly.

They did ok did not really use many tools to get the hood up had one guy hold on top his head while other one was hanging up they even asked to use my ladder cause theres was not tall enough. And did not clean up the work area or the hood at all

We paid for professional installation on our oven hood. The guys were very professional however the installation required additional supplies that we were not informed about.

This is a very nice range hood but the installation information was not clearly provided for the hood vent tie in. Once installed it was great.

I've only had it installed for a week but so far I'm pleased. It's a little loud but we chose to not spend the extra for a quieter version. I'm overall happy with the vent hood.

I wanted something with a few more gadgets, but this is a quality hood. We cook a lot and it can handle all of our cooking...

A good & professional job. Nothing spectacular but consistent progress as they proceeded.

This wall Hood vent is excellent and was not over priced. My mother love the self-adjusting auto vent feature on this unit and the adjusting lighting feature as well. The stainless still is easy to clean. This unit was perfect for our kitchen size and works perfectly in our kitchen removing smoke heat and cooking odor as it supposed to.

The installers were very professional and friendly in getting my oven hood installed. The hood had shipping cosmetic damage and the installer gave the option of installing as is and talking to the sales associate for credit or returning it. We ended up installing it as is and needed some custom install mods done which they were able to do easily

I purchased the entire suite of Samsung Smart products for my kitchen renovation. We actually designed the cabinets to exactly accommodate the specs of the products. All of the products fail concerning their abilities to be classified as a Smart Home device. The original hood installed sounded like a 747 but it was replaced. The hood is attractive to look at and the functionality is decent. For the money, I would like to have seen a dimmable light or the ability to set it on a timer. I purchased the kitchen in early November but neither the Geek Squad or Samsung have been able to get the cook top to connect to the hood to allow app control or even automatically turn on in conjunction with the cook top even though this was one of the primary features we were sold on. I have gotten nothing but excuses from Best Buy and Samsung. I have invested almost 50 hours in trying to get the devices to work as advertised. This has turned a long time Best Buy customer into someone who will pay more to shop elsewhere. Great job Best Buy!!!!!

I love that this is a high CFM hood vent but am a bit disappointed with how loud it is.

Don't really understand what this <40" hood is … unless it's the install

If I could have given a no star I would. The initial schedule date no one showed or called until after I called in the afternoon. The individual that came did not know about the product he was to install. He stated he just got this service call today and that we came 4 states away. As soon as he entered the house, he said he would not be able to install the hood because he did not have the right tools. Yet, he went and the garage to open the package to see what it looked like. Best Buy rescheduled the install for another day. Well, that day came and no one called or showed up. I contacted someone via chat and they scheduled for 2 days before Christmas, and got off the chat before the conversation was over. Not even an have a good day or anything. Have copies of the chat just in case. We shall see what happens and if an attorney needs to be involve since I purchased the GE Cafe french door oven in November 2019, yes November 2019 and to date I am still trying to get the handles for the oven that I have yet to receive because it was not delivered and install with the oven when they came to install it.

You definitely do not want to install this hood with the help from Best Buy.
