Q: What is the cfm and what size duct does is require?

A: Standard vent size ducting to outside of house will work for most vent hoods. Check your stove total cfm’s and ensure vent hood you purchase meets or exceeds the stove total cfm’s. Also check your ceiling height to make sure the hood vent you purchase will reach the ceiling ducting , sometimes based on ceiling height you may need to purchase an extension kit.

Jim is excellent!!
I called to have an "island hood" installed. For some reason the word island hood ended up in the description but it was never truly explained to the people who were going to install it. They were all great people but they did not have the ability to install an island hood. (Someone really does need to work on scheduling things correctly) Once it was scheduled with Jim after talking to him I knew he knew what needed to be done. He called me, got the model numbers from my island hood and looked up the manual and was describing what needed to be done. He did not cut corners by putting it in where the previous hood was he put it where the hood needed to be based on the stove. The hood looked absolutely perfect. But to not be more happy septic it had been scheduled correctly the first or second time. But again that had nothing to do with the contractors.

I had to help the installers quite a bit
I had to translate the instructions to the installers. I also had to climb onto the counter to assist them in the install as they were about to give up and I showed them how to install it. Looks good now.

Zline vent hood installation
Installers showed up on time. We’re very professional and did a quality job. They were very careful not to damage my new tile work while installing the stove vent hood. Note: Prior to installation ensure that your electrical outlet is in the proper position needed for vent hood. Refer to the installation specs for proper placement of plug outlet prior to installation. Mine was not in the correct spot and I had to have it moved. This delayed my installation for two weeks.
