I may have had a faulty one.
Worked great for a year and then it started to malfunction
-speeds suffered
-it killed 2 hardrives whether if it was disconnection or bad power regulation
-it started to disconnect all the time even during transfers and would either corrupt the drive or the files.
- it cannot handle more then 4 or 5 external HDDS at a time or else it will disconnect causing all the drives to either disappear or reconnect all of them at once which is really scary when you have alot of files you have to work with (power brick included)
I was really angry at how bad the quality of the parts were considering the brushed aluminum casing is excellent
Over time, if a hub is overloaded with multiple power-hungry devices like hard drives, it could degrade its performance. The internal components could be struggling with power regulation.
Try limiting the number of high-power devices connected at one time to see if performance improves. If the hub has a dedicated power brick, ensure that it is supplying adequate power. Each external hard drive requires a significant amount of power, especially during data transfers.

I used this item to troubleshoot electrical transient noise that disables randomly a CNC machine in the middle of cycle. Having a powered USB hub isolates the machine 5vdc from the USB communication between servo drives and helps isolate the electrical noise source. Very handy to have in transient noise troubleshooting.
Extends your MacBook or notebook by 7 USB 3.0 ports with a single USB plug

Great quality. My laptop didn't have enough USB ports. Have it as a streaming PC to capture card off my console and light set up a long w a Logitech 4K cam
Slim and easy to carry in anything; whether you're at the office or home, the JUH377 allows up to 7 USB peripheral usage at once - we value your feedback. Cordially, j5create

Does exactly what it should. So much better than the non powered options. Great little add to my home studio.

not much to say. its a usb hub that is 3.0 speeds. without getting into the nitty gritty of bench marking data transfer speeds. Just run 3 printers a usb flash drive and rgb strip off it.
