Its a hub

Contacted customer support and they were not helpful. It was this or an internal card but got this on sale so guess its ok.

Posted .We advise no more than one (1) bus-powered/portable external hard disk drive to be connected to the USB hub at a time. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee full functionality when multiple HDD are connected.

I wanted to improve the reliability of the multiple USB connected accessories. No real improvement as I have nearly the same drop out of connections as the daisy chained hubs.

There is a dedicated charge port, and i have to use that one for my ipad, but i can charge my fitbit and phone on the others. (They just don't charge as fast.)

It took my daughter's expertise in 'tetris'ing all the parts and pieces, got them all plugged in and they work great.

An adjustable control is needed as the set turns off too quickly for my needs. Otherwise the set has functioned nicely for the short period of time that I have owned it.
