Hub can be also used without the power supply for low current devices like SSDs, flash drives usb comm port interface cables and mice. Have been using now for a month with no issues.

Works fine for keyboards and phones, not iPad

Expensive for a simple hub

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I have 4 SSD drives in USB 3.0 enclosures and I wanted to make them into a RAID volume for use with my Mac. Each drive was using the J5 hub for power. The RAID volume connection would drop at random times. Thought maybe it was the RAID software I was using so I removed it and used each drive as a separate file system. Still had random disconnects. Went down to 1 single SSD drive and only had it plugged in. Again random disconnects. This was all using the AC adaptor that comes with the hub. Have not tried drives using a separate power supply.

I thought I was getting one with power in all ports. Anyhow, it serves its purpose but not what I thought I was getting when I purchased it.

Posted .For dedicated charging; the JUH377 contains 1 BC port which is battery charging providing up to 1.5 amps as compared to the non BC ports which only output to 0.9 amps. In order to charge multiple devices, we recommend using models such as the JUP60 for instance which provides multiple USB ports for charging, or if interested, we can discuss other options available. Support information can be found on the box and an agent will be happy to help find you something to better fit your needs.
