So dangerous I returned it

Did some online searching after I purchased it and saw more than enough to cause me to just return it. Seems the design had a nasty habit of frying motherboards and peripherals.

The hub's usb3 plug would never seat completely in Surface port, unlike other hubs or devices. Returning to Best Buy.

Eject issues

I have several hooked up and it randomly ejects different ones plugged into different ports. I would say this is unsafe for data and to look elsewhere.

I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you! This device is only meant to run one high bandwidth item or in this case, one hard drive and then smaller peripherals. Using multiple hard drives will cause the ejection issues as the device is unable to handle the load you're asking for. It only works when plugged into the computer

The plug part HAS NEVER WORKED. I have to plug devices in via computer power to charge.

Poor scheduling service

It is horribly slow and makes ext hard drive click

There is only a limited amount of power that the hub can support even when it has the optional power adapter plugged in. Good concept, poor quality product

This unit sucks

Died out in less than a week.

There are limitations to the amount of power that will go through the USB hub. We would recommend connecting higher power devices like external hard drives or disk drives directly to the computer. Posted .Scruden, I appreciate your feedback on the JUH377. The USB hub is intended for use with mice, keyboards, flash drives, web cameras. In the case where you might be using peripherals such as hard drives, CD drives, printers - these may not work. This is due to the peripherals requiring a higher amount of power to function correctly and therefore will not work. The JUH377 obtains it's power from the computer's USB port and when it becomes divided amongst 7 ports, you only have up to 0.9 amps per port, even if the peripheral had it's own power source. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with us and hope we can still earn your business in the future.
