Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The installation instructions are simple, install driver, restart computer, plug-in device, select display settings. After installing the driver and restarting my laptop it did recognize the device, but I could not get an image to appear on my monitor. I did verify that the VGA cable and monitor both work by plugging them in directly to the VGA port. I'm an IT professional and attempted to use this device with a HP laptop running Windows 7. Made multiple attempts to use this product by uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and restarting the laptop multiple times, but no luck. I will say that the construction of the product seems high quality and I wouldn't be opposed to purchasing other products from this manufacturer, but had to return this product.

Posted .Please make sure all updates on computer are current such as Bios, graphic card, drivers, etc. Once completed, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver once more but without the j5 device connected until installation is complete. Once that is done, connect the device to computer and VGA cable to monitor with correct input selected. Thank you.
