I bought a new Lenovo 910 but use a monitor with a VGA plug. This little device is handy to have and I will take it with me for work travels. I only wish that the standard USB port had charging functionality as well which is why I dont give it 5 stars.

I have an HP Spectre that has one standard USB and then two USB-C. I've connected on of my two monitors to the laptop using a USB to HDMI adapter (which then goes to DVI) and that has worked fine. My other monitor is VGA and connected to a KVI switch that I toggle with my work laptop. I'd tried some connector before to get to VGA from my USB-C but that didn't work. That was about a year ago. I found the Insignia online and the local best buy had this one, so figured I'd grab it. It seems to work so far. Two drawbacks. 1, I had hoped just to piggy--back my USB-C to HDMI on the USBC port of this adapter. That didn't seem to work. 2) When I plug in the power through the USB-C port on the adapter, my HP laptop complains about it not being an HP charger. And I can tell that the charging speed is greatly diminished. But I usually stay plugged in. So I can live with the faults, especially since I got it for 39.99 versus original price of 54.99.

A nice piece of equipment that works with the Surface Book 2. Unlike the Surface Book 1, it switched the Micro Display Adapter port for a USB type c connection. Several wrong parts later, I finally found this piece which works exactly as expected. My only complaint is that it provides a powered USB port IF you have an external power adapter not included in the package.

item is a bit clunky, but you can't beat the price, considering Apple charges significantly more.

It's great. I connected my Dell 19" monitor and all I had using my hard drive. No more multi wires under the desk.

I needed this to make my laptop more versatile and it worked well.

If I must have the adapter then this is a good one. I am able to charge, use my extra monitor, and my external hard drive all at one.

I had purchased a cheap usb c to vga adapter about a year ago that just didn't cut it. This one works perfect with my HP Spectre. It also charges although I get a warning about not using my hp charger.

Used it on my PC that had a micro - USB port to run USB camera. Worked great!

A must have with a newer pc that has USB C. Lots of expansion in a small platform.

It was very easy to hook up to my laptop and Screen and works good.

Works as expected. Simple to install. Covers my house well.

It worked very well, very fast when connected to USB and HDMI monitor. Couldn't get it to work with the VGA connection to projector which is what I bought it for.

I am sure it works great but I couldn't get it to work with our old system at work

should have screw holes to screw the monitor in for more stability
