Subwoofer is not pushing out the base that it’s capable of. I have an older model of this with the same wattage rating yet is considerably better. It doesn’t require an app to set the equalizer like this one does. Using the equalizer to try and get more base out of the sub only makes this sound bar, not as crisp.

JBL Why?
Ok, if you're going to release a nice soundbar, please do your customers a favor, and make sure it works properly! Sounds cuts out on Mute or soft volume passages.
As an AV Pro, I need and rely on my products to work as described. And to be fit for purpose! As an installer, I do not want to find and update the firmware. That should be YOUR responsibility as a company. While the bar sound good, that means nothing if you can't hear it!
Having to adjust the sound bar everytime it gets powered on is a complete hard no for both myself and my customers. I am NOT a beta tester for your products.

Great for music. Horrible and overwhelming surround for TV/movies. Ambiance sounds are over the top loud while vocals are low. For TV use, it sounds best in stereo. Im taking mine back.

After 4 months I am still not overly impressed with the sound quality of this soundbar that I was talked into spending extra money on. Right now Meh at best.

Guess I should have checked these one star reviews before purchasing this... Connects to the TV just fine, HOWEVER, the sound is no where near as good as one would expect and the JBL One app is trash and won't connect to the wifi. Initial setup seemed to be fine, until the software update got to about 80%. It never made it to 100%, although the soundbar display said done and would not connect back to wifi again no matter what is done. Recommendation... Allow users to use the "advanced" features from the remote instead of forcing people to use a horribly designed app.

I was excited about this soundbar, but the surround speakers sound like have constant whispering coming out of them. When watching something quiet, there’s this rustling sound coming from it and it ruins the listening experience. It has the potential to be great, but I’m certainly disappointed in it and I’m past the return window so I’m stuck with something I feel is inferior and was very expensive.

Sound is ok but voice enhancement is poor. IMO this sound bar is mediocre at best and keep in mind I’m a JBL guy. Love most of their speakers. Still have a pair of Decades I bought in 1978.
