    This unit is nice for the price but I was not that impressed with the overall sound quality. I was looking at a Bose system and I know I’d have to pay much more but the sound quality is better, in my opinion.

    the previous SB400 makes this soundbar subpar. i had to return it and send my broken SB400 for JBL authorized vendor to fix it..i had to return with zero regrets.

    I made the purchase to pick it up at the nearby store and when the time was up they wrote to me that it was not available for pick up, I had to cancel the order because I was disappointedI, was very excited

    Can’t get it to connect

    Could not connect to new tv. Tried taking it back and was given instructions on how to connect it. Still doesn’t work. Will have to take it back. Really disappointed.

    This soundbar has decent sound if you plug it in via HDMI ARC. If you connect it via Optical, you will have VERY noticeable audio delay (i am aware that Optical is always suceptible to delay, but this soundbar has much more delay than others ive owned in the past). Also, the sound bar DOES NOT WORK unless i reboot it every day. No, i font mean hitting power on the remote. I mean physically remove and reinsert the power cable.

    I love jbl, but this wasnt it

    My bar500 would drop out during mid movie. It had happen multiple times. I decided to return because it had happen too many occasions. The sound is decent for the price, a little muddy on my end.

    When i first hooked it up it was great. Then screen became distorted but system still worked. Now after 8 months display on soundbar doesn’t come on at all now and random times sound works. Tried everything i have read to fix it. Seems like junk to me now. Spend my time trying to get it to work than using it. Everything is connected where it should be.

    This item worked perfectly after the initial setup. Since then, we’ve had nothing but connectivity issues.

    DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! I’ve had this soundbar less than 3 months, and after 3 months, the soundbar loops on reset mode and is unable to connect to WiFi, Bluetooth, or the JBL app. Terrible product.

    This was a replacement that stopped working and still under warranties. Since the original was on sale I had to pay the difference in cost for replacement. Plus pay for warrantee. Not a great deal since original quit working. Store polices were different based on who you talked to. Had to drive in to store twi e son e it kept changing.

    Either I’m dumb and don’t know how to plug it in or it just doesn’t sound that good. It does not sound “3D” or whatever. I already tried changing the settings and everything.

    I came from a Bose trying to be more cost conservative but it just wasn’t the same. It sounded better in the store but when got it home the quality wasn’t the same.

    I cannot review this item as geek squad has failed now on four occasions to show up for scheduled appointments to install it. It appears they don’t have enough people working for them and the ones who do tend to get sick all the time. Last time I will buy anything from Best Buy that it will require an installation

    It wouldn’t connect to the TV more time looking at it than listening to it. I’m glad I returned it.

    Lackluster bass

    Returned due to lack of bass. It was lackluster all around but the bass was non existent.

    i should rated over average but you consistently have to rezinc the sound bar by plug it back in for a reset

    JBL 500 Soundbar No Sound

    Had (2) new JBL 500 soundbars installed with new 75 inch Samsung smart tv. Geek Squad installed 1st soundbar, lasted for 3 days, until sound quit. Geek squad replaced with another JBL 500, worked for less than 2 days. Had GS replace with another brand soundbar. No issues since soundbar replaced.

    not what I expected compared to my jbl 3.1 soundbar. I was looking to upgrade to my 6 year old jbl 3.1 sounder and let me tell you I was extremely disappointed. there's lack of feature on this new system like equalizer settings and lack of bass my old 3.1 can go up to 30 in bass settings and this system only 5 and also there's no equalizer options on this new system compared to my jbl 3.1 sounddbar. and for a system that states it has 500 watt rms its does not compete with the jbl 3.1. good thing I never got rid of my jbl 3.1 sounbar

    Received 500.1 turns on but got no sound. Got directed to Update software.
