    Very disappointed. Purchased this after a 4 year old JBL system died. Sound randomly cuts out and could only be fixed by disconnecting from power. This happened multiple times daily and after trying every possible device configuration, it was returned for a Sony that has worked perfectly. Never again.

    Terrible. Bought 1. It worked a few days then just cut out. Had to unplug the power cord and replug it. Returned it, got a different 1. Same issues. Returned it and got something totally different.

    I expected this to be a great entry sound bar except it doent work. I spent 4hrs trying to set this up with pass through setup and wifi and blue tooth....and the onlu thing that worked on it to tell me it functioned was the calibration test. I dont recomend and will return it immediately.

    The speaker turn off by itself, and the only way it goes back on is when you unplug it and plug it back in. And the few times it does work the sound comes and go.

    Constantly have to reset unplug and plug back in, it’s got issues I wouldn’t buy unless you have money to throw away.

    I dont know if it is any good or not. We bought a Sony TV and sound bar. The soundbar we chose wouldnt work. So we purchased this sound bar. Our tv wontwork with it.

      Thanks for your feedback. If your JBL Bar 500 is not powering on, check if the power cord is plugged into the power outlet and fully inserted into the soundbar, then try using another power outlet. Next, try using another power cable, or use the power cable of the subwoofer. Lastly, unplug the soundbar from the power outlet, and while the soundbar is unplugged, press and hold the [POWER] button for at least 10 seconds, then plug it into the power outlet and try powering it back on.     Worst item I’ve ever bought and the worse part is that they lied on the website about the quality sound of it. Definitely not satisfied and it’s not worth the money. They have surely lost mine business.

    Great Atmos soundbar

    I wanted an Atmos sound system for my new Oled TV, but I didn't want a 5.1 or 7.1 system. I used to have a normal 2.1 LG soundbar that cost me around $150. It was fine, nothing spectacular, but far better than flat screen TV sound. I was amazed at the quality of sound from this setup. The subwoofer is gigantic compared to the average 2.1 system and produces HUGE amounts of bass, even when the bass is only at 2 or 3 out of a max of 5. Video games and movies sound great!!! The Atmos technology gives a new layer of sound that was missing from my non Atmos system I had before (when Atmos is available, some content just uses surround or dolby... it all sounds good, though.) The Atmos sound does give you a more immersive sound experience, where sound honestly does sound like it's coming from different areas of your room. But since it's just a 2.1 system, the sound you hear is never really going to sound like it's coming from behind you, but the sound you hear during some movies or nature shows sounds like they are coming from different areas infront of you. There have been times while watching TV, where I had to mute the sound, because I thought that what I was hearing was my dog upstairs or my cat messing around in the next room over, but it was actually just the sounds from the movie/show I was watching. They were being projected so well that I thought the sounds were coming from the walls of my house!!! I never experienced sound like that from any speakers I've ever used. Also, the bass is no joke. It's honestly like having movie theatre level bass in your home. So if you live in an apartment or multi family dwelling, and you're not careful, you may get sound complaints because it literally shakes the walls. So if you want quality sound that immerses you in movies and your favorite shows and you don't need to have speakers all over place, this soundbar won't disappoint you. And it's a huge step up from the ordinary, $200, 2.1 soundbar systems you may have bought in the past.

    Don't waste your money you'll end up wasting fuel because the only thing happening is it's going to go back to the store

    Box came in all ripped up missing power cable for soundbar also missing brakets and hdmi & also best buy claimed it was “excellent” condition that was false it came scarached up & missing parts

    I have no idea. You cancelled my order the day of delivery with no explanation. You have requested a review multiple times. I am not impressed.

    This was supposed to be an 'open-box-excellent' but what I got was nothing more than the hardware in a torn-up box. Immediately returned.

    I bought this for my grandson on a Deal Of The Day Sale. Gotvs great price and thr sound is incredible and super clear and thr bass really booms. His father is super jealous and threatened to take It for himself. I nixed that. When it shows up on a deal of the day again I will buy one for my son. Great unit and price. Very good quality

    I wanted to add a theatre quality sound to my new 65” TV. Bought this JBL sound system at a great sale price and have not been disappointed! The sound from JBL Dolby Surround sound ATMOS system is fantastic! It’s like we are at the theater with the quality of sound this unit delivers. It truly makes movie watching more enjoyable. It s very easy to set up using the JBL app and the app also has a remote built in so you don’t always have to look for a misplaced remote. The app has a sound equalizer that allows you to set the sound settings to your specific sound and the bass has 5 output levels which can really put out some deep bass tones. I got the unit for less than $350 which is a great value for the sound quality this unit produces!

    Perfect for smaller spaces. Really clear sound and great base from the wireless subwoofer. Good mid-range system all around. Set up is also extremely simple.
