Truly expected a bit more from JBL even at this price point. Surround and Sub are both Unimpressive and extremely underwhelming. Wasn't ready to drop $900 on the 7.1 channel and assumed the 5.1 channel would deliver adequate sound. Was absolutely wrong on that one.

I really like the sound bar. It had great sound, but it disconnects randomly. The only way to reconnect it is to unplug it and replug it in. Then it has to go through its recalibration. I am going to return it.

Adequate but not great for a Bose product

Sounded good in the store, but disappointed in the sound quality at home. Dialog for watching movies was represented as being good. See no difference in all the other brands of sound bars I have tried. There is no good bass output. It works, but still not what I am looking for. it was also touted as not buffering, but I have also experienced that a couple of times.

Nice soundbar. We also have the previous BAR version. This one adds Dolby Atmos. Airplay works great. Also requires the improved JBL One app for setup.

Just listening to this system, it can use some additional help as far as clear sound .i think the jbl 1000 sounds a lot better , due to it rear speaker

Wait for two minutes, then plug them back in and turn them on. Next, check the connections and ensure the HDMI cable is firmly plugged into the HDMI ports (eARC) on both the soundbar and TV. The sound goes into standby while your watching tv . Geek squad has been out several times and I have received a replacement and the issue is still mot resolved. Not satisfied with this product

Upsetting to have paid for one unit 4months prior to this one and they’re completely different. But marketed as the same.
Make sure it is the updated version prior to purchasing.

I wanted to love this jbl 500 soundbar and subwoofer but every 2 days when you turn on the tv, there is no sound from the soundbar. The only way to get sound is to unplug and plug it back in. When it works, it sounds good. I called jbl and troubleshoot but day after same issue no sound from sound bar. No one seems to know why this is happening. Cables are in the right place but the intermittent turning off is annoying.
I paid too much to have to be unplugged and plugging in every 2 days. I can’t really enjoy the theater experience. Sad but I have to return and get something else.

Speaker sounds great but doesnt really matter when it consistently disconnects from hdmi to blue tooth or just turns off all of a sudden . Very dissatisfied
