Overall, this is a decent product. Plays records as it should, and also features a radio function. The overall look is very appealing. Of course it isn't top notch quality, but that comes with its cheaper price tag.

This product has met my expectations. The sound quality is sufficient and I can now utilized my old but good 33 1/3 rd albums. Still waiting to try 45rpms.

So I recently started a little record collection and tried this out as my first record player. It sounds great, especially for the price. It would probably be very beneficial to hook up external speakers though (through actual speaker wire, there is no option for digital cable output).

Nice Little Unit! The Turntable/Radio Combination works very well and is not heavy to carry around either! It plays my old 33rpm records excellently!

I bought this to use until I could got my antique stereo fixed. I could not get over the sound, it is outstanding! I connected two exterior speakers and it blew me away! If this little guy sounds that amazing, i shudder to think what the more expensive units produce! Love it!

I love this turntable. I got it to play some of my original classic vinyls and the quality is so good that o have found myself compelled to get my vinyls. On top of this my roommate has stopped using his $100 Crosley and is using mine out of jealousy of its sound quality. The sound is clear and reaches all of my rooms in my apartment.

Very compact and good for the price; however, not enough bass and volume.

I wanted something that would allow me to play a few albums. I hooked up some external speakers for a less tinny sound. Slight wobble to the records, but plays fine for a low cost album player.

jensen jta 220

the jensen jta 220 is a fabulous beginners turntable! i currently own a more expensive Audop technica lp120 and i bought the jensen 220 for my aunt who has wanted a record player for the past 7 years or so. she never bought one because she always thought record players were very expensive so when i showed her this sub $40 record player she asked me to buy it for which of course i had no problem with. when it arrived i was very exited. hooked it all up and WOW for $40 was not expecting too much but this little guy works like a charm. i dont really have any complaints other than the built in speakers being pretty weak but you can connect bookshelf speakers through the speaker wires in the back. obviously being able to do this means there is a built in amplifier in it which was pretty awesome. Another con is the platter. once it starts spinning there is very light clicking going on but of course with speakers hooked up it is not noticeable at all.
now to the good stuff...... as i mentioned before, you can connect bookshelf speakers through the spring clips in the back which feel quite good. also the built in preamp and amplifier is a huge plus. fm and am radio is very nice. it has a nob to switch from phono, AM, FM and FM stereo so i really liked that. overall if you're looking to get into the fun vinyl hobby, this is a great way to start. of course once you feel ready to upgrade to a better record player than you can do so :) however if you are in a $100 dollar budget for a record player than i recommend the Audio Technica lp60 fully automatic turntable which comes with a built pre amp but you will need to buy a separate amplifier and speakers. anyway i hope this review helps.
i recommend this very much

It's a nice product and it works well. That being said, it's not a Fisher or other fancy unit. The sound is a little tinny, but since kids nowadays play music at high decibels, I guess that's all right. This was a gift for a kid whose old phonograph died. She's happy with it. What could be better?
