Outstanding quality and performance

I have used a lot of different brands and styles of headsets, and these have been the best performing so far. They rival products that cost over double what these are. You can see and feel the quality right out of the box. The headphones, and the charger, fit well in the sturdy case. Setup is super easy. The included charger is wireless and all you have to do is plug it in set the left ear cuff on the charger to begin charging. The charger holds the headphones securely in place magnetically. Charge time is fast the indicator light turns green to let you know when it is ready. The JLAB mobile application is a breeze to setup. All you need to do is connect your headphones to Bluetooth and the app effortless connects and checks for any updates. No changes are needed, but you have the option set the equalizer or enable or disable optional settings.
You can feel the quality the first time you put the headphones on. The head piece adjustments are smooth, and the metal is stylish and durable. The only physical button is the power button that also allows it to enter pairing mode by holding in for 8 seconds. All the other controls are completely hidden and controlled by tapping or swiping your finger on the right side. The logo on the right side can pressed to turn on adaptive noise cancelling or disable to allow hearing sounds around you. They are light and easy to wear for long periods. Sound quality is top notch, and the noise cancellation does a good job of blocking outside sounds. The headphones can also track your movement and change the sounds to track the location of the source. There is no visible microphone, and the sound inputs are surprisingly on the back of the headphone. One drawback is there no way to mute the mic directly from the headphones. An added benefit is that you can have two different Bluetooth devices connected at the same time. I like I can have my work laptop and my phone connected at the same time and it automatically switches between the two.
If you want an affordable headset that is comfortable, sounds great, has long battery life and can be used for work and entertainment, this is a great option.

Comfort and Great Sound

I have been utilizing the JLab Epic Lux Lab Edition headphones for several days, and I find the sound quality to be exceptional. The setup process was straightforward, and after downloading the JLab application, connecting and personalizing my audio experience was both intuitive and straightforward. From my initial listening experience, it became evident that these headphones represent a significant enhancement in performance, sleek in design, comfortable to wear, and crafted to illustrate JLab's commitment to superior audio engineering.
The audio quality is outstanding. The dynamic drivers deliver rich depth and crisp detail across genres, and the Lab Spatial Audio with head tracking pulls me right into the mix like sitting in the middle of a concert or standing inside a movie scene. I can listen for hours thanks to the Cloud Foam earcups and headband, which keep everything plush and pressure-free. Battery life is equally impressive, about 85 hours (I get up to 55 hours with Active Noise Cancellation on), which gives me days of listening without thinking about a recharge.
Active Noise Cancellation is excellent. The adaptive system reduces outside noise by up to 42 decibels and continuously adjusts to my environment, so commutes and busy rooms melt away. When I want awareness, I can press a button to switch to Be Aware mode or use a quick palm press on the right earcup for temporary passthrough, perfect for quick conversations.
The JLab app ties it all together. I customized my noise control, touch and button inputs, and sound profiles switching among JLab Signature, Balance, and Bass Boost, or building my own with the eight-band equalizer. The app includes a safe-hearing option with volume limits and delivers software updates directly to the headphones. Controls are flexible and responsive: I can swipe on the earcup, use programmable taps for quick commands, or rely on the dedicated buttons when I want precise, tactile control.

I received the JLab Epic Lux Lab Edition ANC Wireless Over-Ear Headphone.
They’re built extremely well, with plush, comfortable earcups and a mesh headband that ensures comfort for long periods of use. They have a comfortable design, highly effective ANC, 90-hour battery life, and fantastic sound quality. They can be slightly scratchy at times, the earcups are delicate, and wear detection is hit-or-miss. Has an adjustable headband that allows for plenty of adjustment to achieve maximum comfort. The headset isn’t very heavy either, weighing 10.58 ounces.
The earcups are made of what JLab calls “cloud foam,” but they’re really just made of plush faux leather. They feel very snug and comfortable, and very soft. Also note, they do not collapse for easy transportation. They have multipoint connectivity, the headphones can connect to two devices simultaneously.
The JLab Epic Lux Labs feature just two physical buttons, the power button and the pressable JLab logo on the right earcup. These double (triple and quadruple) as additional controls, as tapping and long-pressing either lets you play/pause, enable spatial audio, switch equalizer, etc. The buttons and touch controls are fully customizable via the JLab companion app which is extremely user-friendly.
There are three preset EQs available: JLab Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost. There’s also a Custom tab that lets you personalize it according to your preferences.
There are two ways of charging the JLab Epic Lux Labs, you can either plug in a USB-C cable, or you can use the included charging pad to wireless charge them.
Overall, the Epic Lux Labs are powerful enough to give the competition a run for their money, and they do look luxurious.

Great pair of headphones from JLAB

The JLAB Epic Lux Lab Edition ANC Wireless Over-Ear Headphones are a nice pair of headphones from JLAB. I’ve had a few pair of earbuds and headphones from JLAB in the past. I wasn’t really expecting much from these, but I was thoroughly impressed. They seemed to have stepped their game up with these. The cushion on the ear cups are very soft and they are very comfortable while wearing. The headphones come in a nice case that has a zipper to close or open the case. Inside of the case you will find a wireless charging pad, a USB-C to USB-C braided cable, and a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting to any audio device that supports a 3.5mm connection. Out of the box the headphones were very easy to pair to my phone. You can also connect a second device via Bluetooth. The right ear cup has touch control on the outer portion of the ear cup. You can adjust the volume up and down, and skip forward and reverse tracks. There’s a button you click that will allow you to Play/Pause tracks. I was wondering why the headphones did not allow Play/Pause by allowing you to tap on the side of the ear cup. I later found out I can add that feature in the JLAB mobile app. There are quite a few features in the app that will allow you to customize the headphones to your liking. The sound quality was decent, but with the app I was able to go into the EQ settings and Customize my own settings. Being able to adjust the EQ settings allowed me to really crack up the Treble, Mid and Bass. The Noise Cancelling features are really good for these headphones. Overall, I’m liking these headphones and I hope to get years of great use from them.

Quality headphones with good versatility

Over the ear headphones aren’t for everyone. I enjoy using them at times because they tend to offer better sound and a little isolation. So, how are these cans from JLab?
Unboxing the Epic Lux Lab Edition ANC Wireless headphones reveals a quality set with a nice, compact case, and wire accessories. My first impression after removing them from the box was that of surprise at how light they are. From an appearance perspective, I expected them to weigh more, so that should tell you they look the part. They also feel well made with quality materials.
The ear cups are reverse pear shaped which makes for a bit of a different design. I think it works because it’s somewhat in the shape of your ear. Wearing the Epic Lux Lab, they feel comfortable, but not the most comfortable I’ve worn. I have a larger than average head, and there seems to be a little more flex than I’d like, causing a slight increase in squeeze. I can wear them for a couple of hours or more without issue, so that’s good.
How do they sound? The sound is admirable or should I say above average. I think for the price point, the sound should be appreciated. There is warmth and depth, but the tones are stronger in the upper frequency range. With that being said, I like the overall sound and it serves my uses well. I really like that you can use this set wired and wirelessly, and the JLab app provides some control over sound.
Overall, these are great over the ear headphones. Wired and wireless use, wireless charging, lightweight, cool design – with a nice case.

- Sound great for a $200 pair of wireless ANC over ears. They really do a great job of giving an everyday listener solid sound reproduction. Are they audiophile quality? No, but as an everyday pair they're top-notch.
- Wireless charging (included "puck" also can charge other devices - phone, earbuds, etc)
- Active Noise Cancelling
- Intuitive Tap Controls
- App is nothing amazing, but love that it is simple, straight-forward, and does exactly what you need without a lot of fluff
- LDAC support (along with BT 5.3 and others) is awesome, especially at this price-point
- Small without feeling small on your ears. The cans themselves are smaller than I expected, but still have as cavernous as possible of an opening to where your ears don't feel cramped.
- Subtle design features are sleek and minimal but eye catching when you really pay some attention to it. The materials used are also nicer than anticipated. Soft touch pieces feel like they'll hold up and even the various plastic bits don't feel cheap or flimsy.
All-in-all, they have as sturdy a feel as possible while also maintaining a slim appearance and feel.
Highly recommend

Contents:
The package includes the headphones, a wireless charging dock, a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-C to 3.5 mm audio cable, and a carrying case
Design:
The earcups are oval, foldable, and have “Cloud Foam” cushioning, which is pretty soft. Living in the South, however, the cups get a little hot if walking outside.
Touch and swipe controls are integrated on the right earcup. Swiping lets you adjust volume, change tracks, and tap to play/pause. I personally like that there is a separate physical button to manage ANC so I don’t accidentally switch on/off transparency
Additional features:
Like most headphones nowadays, you use a JLab app to manage EQ presets and custom EQ settings, as well as tweaking how the ANC works or tracks.
Speaking of noise cancellation, the ANC does reduce airplane noise really well.
Battery life:
Battery life was really good, lasting several days without requiring a recharge. Fast charging is supported, so you can get a modest recharge with just 5 minutes of charging.
Overall:
Good feature set and good sound quality for my tastes. The folding ear cups help with transport but they won’t be as packable as ear buds, if you’re looking for maximum portability.

I love that the first thing when you open a fresh set of headphones and that’s indicative that you’ve gotten something nice is if they give you a hard case versus a soft pouch versus nothing. You get a nice thick padded case that’s houses the headphones. There’s a circular charging pad that has an entry point for a USB type C. I started charging them immediately and the red light on the charger and on the right headphone itself lit up red.
In the box there’s also the instructions but who read those right off the bat right? This guy does. Anyways, I waited a bit until they charged up 100% before trying to pair them. The instructions are clear, I ended up downloading the application right away to get the full user experience. The ratings were not the business so I didn’t go in expecting a lot of features working right off the bat.
It started updating my firmware after prompting me to and me agreeing. The app is cool if you want to control the features and be able to see them. You can also set the touch controls. It is a bit buggy but nothing you can’t manage.
I couldn’t get the “be aware” to work fully on the app, or if it worked or didn’t work I can’t tell. But the feature does definitely work on the physical headphones themselves. I cranked them up and set the equalizer to the preset Bassbooster. I wasn’t disappointed. It had decent bass. The microphone to cancel out the noise in the background is a bit sensitive and if it does get rubbed you do get loud feedback. So that’s a bit of a bummer but they feel overall very sturdy and well build. The instructions are clear. I do see that there is two Bluetooth contact points and in order for you to be able to listen to you music you have to manually seek it in your Bluetooth pairing mode on your phone. I enjoyed them a bit but like I said the only caveats are the app and the microphone sensitivity but that’s just me.

Jlab has always been a go to for good headphones at a cheaper price. I have not owned wireless set of headphones, only wired, until now. I'm very happy with these. The have such great build quality. Nothing feels cheaply made at all. The ear cushions, the headband, the controls and wireless charger all feel like they are meant to last a very long time. I really like the functionality. The physical buttons are very easy to navigate, which comes in handy when I use them while doing chores. The app is easy to find and download. It has so many options from basic functions to detailed customization of different sound modes. It makes setting these up very simple and accurate to my listening needs. The sound is phenomenal! I hear so many details and tones that I was missing from my previous headphones. The noise cancelling works as you'd expect it to work. One of my favorite features is the wireless charging. I love that I don't to actually plug these in every time I need to charge them. When I am not using them, I store them in the included case. It has space for the headphones and cables. This is the best product I have owned by Jlab.

The JLAB Epic Lux Lab Edition over the ear head phones comes nicely boxed with written and illustrated instructions, which is really appreciated. They come with a compact case with room for the wireless charging device and the 2 cables. It was easy to download the app and I didn’t need to set up an account. They have a seamless Bluetooth connection which was easy to do and this is also great since I many times struggle with this.. I am slightly dyslexic so figuring out the buttons is always a challenge but the app for these headphone allows me to you to make easy changes within the app which is really great. The headphones have good sound and they have adaptive noise cancelling option that can be turned on or off. They have a good battery life and can be quickly charged with the wireless compact charging device. The over the ear head phones are comfortable to wear. These are a very affordable set of headphones that would be great for college students or anyone wanting to experience the benefits of using headphones. I am flying soon, and these will be great to use on the plane.

Well, I was very impressed with these headphones. I have to say that the Construction and build are very nice., There’s a very nice case and cables that come along with it, which Is a must have. Set up is fairly easy and I found a Bluetooth pairing to be very simple as well. I paired it with an Apple TV and therefore all other apple products as well. I’ve used this mostly as Bluetooth and I found the Sound quality to be Very good. I find that the app is a must have an easy to use and you can dial in the sound that you prefer with that. The app has various EQ settings or you can set your own custom EQ that gives you five or six different bands to play with. I found that the headphones work best in stereo mode and I found out the spatial setting a little bit gimmicky in did not quite like the dialogue audio with the spatial. However, I thought the stereo mode was very good. I’ve listened to these with movies, shows, and some music. I think it does well at all of these. Overall, this is a great sounding budget, friendly headphones that punches above its weight class. I highly recommend it.

Head Scratcher for me

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
JLab has traditionally been known for more value-minded solutions but the EPIC LUX Lab Edition headphones are pushing into the pricier world usually inhabited by the usual suspects. Priced at just a smidge under $200 the EPIC LUX break the mold.
Now don't get me wrong, these are great sounding headphones with a lot of features that offer up a decent listening experience but not sure they warrant what I would consider a higher tier price for them.
Now days you have to offer:
= active noise cancelling, check!
= smartphone/tablet app with equalizer, check!
= Bluetooth wireless, check!
= answer and hang up calls, check!
= simultaneous pairing from multiple devices, check!
= easy to use controls on the headphones, check!
= wired listening with USB-C to audio cable (included), check!
= hardshell carrying case, check!
They are pretty comfortable but I wish they had a fabric earpad. The bands extended enough for my big head and the padding was enough.
Pairing was easy, with or without the app but the app gets you some additional features, most of which I'd never use.
The first head scratcher for me is the app's LabShare function where you can share audio with multiple JLab headphones. I guess the puzzling part for me is that this assumes you have a lot of friends with the same LUX Lab Edition headphones. Sorry, I don't see the point.
Second head scratcher is the wireless charging puck, I guess to jump on the bandwagon of wireless device charging. I did try with my Magsafe iPhone charger and it did work so if nothing else I can use it to charge my phone.
For me, I can take or leave them. They are a bit cheaper than the other guy's comparable units so maybe still more value leaning but I can't recommend them to my friends.
