Strong but stiff (will get more flexible with use). Pan and tilt head saves a purchase. The built-in level is nice but only for one dimension (horizontal is the default). Works for most point & shoots but would be risky w/a heavy DLSR

This allows for some creative camera positioning, but also normal tripod operation (with a bubble level too!). The only downside is that the legs are a little stiff, but that's better than loose.

The tripod allows me to get a lot of angles I wasn't able to get before. Very sturdy and stays positioned well.

Tried with Sony a6000 55-210mm quickly setup on hood of the car to capture Mesquite Sand dunes in Death Valley CA. - so a real life quick mount scenario. Used iPhone wifi App for shutter release, max zoom picture came out perfect inspite of the weight of the zoom lens. Thus tested out fully, was able to quickly bend the joints to get horizontal framing etc.
