I have a MacBook Pro purchased in February 2017. It has two of the USB-C type ports but no SD media card. I use this mainly to transfer picture from my dslr. I only use the SD card slot. This works great with the mac. It fits in the port properly, it is lightweight, and the cord is not very long so this will stay pretty close to your computer on the table instead of dangling over the side. It is plug and play with no drivers required. It is easy to insert the card and to remove it from the card reader. It works everytime! I was using other brands with adapter to USB-c and it wouldn't work everytime.

This is a good solution to connect assorted devices with different interfaces to computers with USB Type-C. It would be a great product and get 5 stars if it had 2 USB Type-A sockets instead of just one. I have a few devices, such as external hard drives, that have 2 USB cables to help power them, thus I had to purchase another USB Type-C to Type-A converter.

It is cheap and works great but its too big to carry with my small Mac

I needed something that I could connect to my computer that allowed me to read my mini and micro SD cards from my various cameras. As my laptop is pretty new, it doesn't have all of the ports I need. So this option was cheap and effective.

I found the cord too short for this device to be of use to me. OK probably for a laptop. My only usb c port is on the back of my desktop.

The Kanex cable adapter is great. All in one adaptor to enable you to plug in SD or micro SC cards directly into a USB-C cable input, such as those used on new Apple products.

With the lack of ports on the MacBook, this is just the thing. Easy to connect to laptop, easy to use. Has every type of port I need. Definitely worth the price.

Best buy had a great price and the delivery was quick. Device worked as advertised, needed new USB-C for a MacBook pro.

Purchased this so my Macbook Pro 2016 could read SD/MicroSD cards and it works perfectly till this day.

I got this to transfer videos and pictures from my Camara micro sd to my new macbook because there are only 2 ports. It works great. All my files transfer very quickly and videos are not corrupted. I've only used it a few times but seems to be doing the job for very low cost. I gave it a 4 just because I haven't used the other card slots so I dont know their quality.

Initially bought it to add to my dongle collection but noticed it made more sense to attache it to the side of a LG Ultrafine 5K monitor the cable just barely reaches the back USB-C ports. So now instead of flopping around when attached to my MacBook its a "permanent" card reader when hooked up to the Ultrafine. Time will tell how long it will last but consider how much it was it can easily be replaced once that time comes.

I needed a device to read old camera card pix and this did the trick!

This does not job and for not a lot of money. Nothing too good or bad.

I got this device to plug into my Google pixel 2 XL so I could transfer pictures from my cameras to it conveniently. I have an app that can allow me to do it wirelessly but it usually messed with the dates of the pictures taken. By using this device and plugging the SD in, I am able to copy the pictures over and retain the correct time stamp on my pictures.

This is an excellent card reader. Fast, cheap, works great. No problems whatsoever with it.
