Zach came out to my house and was very knowledgeable in presenting me a wide array of options. The KEF R7s presented themselves as the clear choice and I am NOT disappointed.

Thin and shouty sound! Please avoid, returned even at half the price. Used anthem mrx to drive, even room correction did not help. Kef meta much better and sound good.

Great sound and awesome look and finish. A bad thing is that it is really easy to dent the drivers when moving them around if you touch the drivers when carrying them.

Did a lot of research on which speakers I wanted mainly for music (2 channel) and my search stopped here. I originally was drawn to KEF after I heard the Reference 3s at Best Buy and was blown away! Now that’s a different league in some aspects (mainly price) I got the R7s in white to go with my set up. I also have this paired with a Hegel Amp (H120 to be exact) could have gone for the H190 and more power but that’s even more expensive. Also use a Rega Planar 3 and Moon 110LP v2 phono stage. These speakers sound so good. It’s hard to put into words but the clarity and detail are impressive. Female voices really shine on these. Also Jazz and Classical. I haven’t felt the need to add a sub yet as these have pretty good bass on their own. I would go with RELs if I had to. To sum up, these are amazing sounding speakers and very beautiful to look at. Get them if you can!
