I bought this head unit for a 2003 BMW 5 Series and installation was FREE!!! AWESOME DEAL RIGHT... WRONG!!! I went to the installer and told me that this car had an amp in it and he would need to install 4 new speakers and run new wiring to them. This would cost an additional $400.00 to do. I replied to him thats interesting, I had done some research and told him what I had found with some specific indicators that the car had no DSP button on it. The DSP button indicated that it would have had a amp in it that was indeed a lot harder to install, but was not impossible. HIs notes also mentioned this because I seen his screen and discussed this with him. He said no go! it was not possible and it was going to be another $400! I told him I was going to get another opinion which I did so I returned my entire order from Best Buy and I reordered all the same equipment from Crutchfield. I have installed a few car stereos in my day so I figured I would give it a shot! Within 3 hours I had the headunit and steering wheel controls installed and added another hour and installed a back-up camera (an additional $135 charge from Best Buy). So that free install would have ended up costing me 535.00 plus tax and any supplies they would have used. The stereo sounds GREAT!!! Blows the stocker out if the water... I did make two calls to the Crutchfield tech line and they were very helpful. I would recommend that you do some investigation on your car before you pay Best Buy and the install crew takes your money, wallet and your first born! Just my 2 cents because I still have them and the installer didn't get them....

Picked this deck up when it was on sale just before Black Friday. Great deck does more than I thought it would. Plays DVDs as long as parking break is one click up, has a USB port hook up, Bluetooth, standard tuner and a sat radio option you can put on. Puts out more ampage than the factory stereo that came with my Honda Accord by far. Great system and would recommend. The only downfall, not terrible either, is that the microphone is a bit cumbersome. But works very well.

The touch screen makes for ease of use. The Bluetooth function doesn't always connect easily. I found myself having to delete my phone from the stereo in order to get it to actually connect after adding it again. If you don't have tinted windows, the glare of the sunlight entering your vehicle will make it near impossible to see the display. Overall, functions well, easy to learn settings and produces a good sound when set properly. I don't recommend using the presets, they're all sorts of wrong.

I initially loved this receiver. However, the Bluetooth takes a long time to connect and the USB connection does not work with other music apps, like Spotify. Although it says Apple ready, definitely not IPhone compatible. It has the Pandora app but, it seems to only work with Android phones. I also wish the USB was on the front of the unit as oppose to in my glovebox. My kids love the DVD capability but I wish it played Blueray disc because most movie now are Blueray.

Bought to install in a 97 Camaro .. Once I bought the right installation kit . Which comes with a new bezel the install was easy . Looks great to update the dash in a 4th gen Camaro . Bluetooth features is great and works very well . Talking on the phone on the road has very little background noise . Great buy for the price !

I got this on clearance for $170. A super good deal for this unit. It has far more pros than cons. These are just a few: Pros: Sounds better than the old stereo. I'm using factory Ford speakers in a 2000 F350. I would like to upgrade speakers as well. I'm sure it would sound even better. Touch screen is very responsive Backup camera (bought separately) is very clear and switches quickly. I have had positive comments from passengers about quality of the image. This is the main reason I wanted this type of screen. Plenty of options for equalizer and display Bluetooth works well (connected to HTC One M8) DVD works well Cons: Bluetooth can sometimes take a while to connect. I have found that it works best when the phone bluetooth is already on before powering up the unit. Knob is a little slippery. No big deal, just a minor thing. Takes a while to power on.

Purchased Kenwood stereo to upgrade a stock stereo in my truck. Had new speakers and a backup camera installed as well. Sound is great and BT connect to ipod touch is excellent. The screen does seem to get a bit hard to read in full sun when using the backup camera but I bet any LCD screen would do the same if placed in the same position as my old stock stereo. New cars with backup cameras seem to shield the cameras to some degree from the sun. All in all I am happy with the purchase and enjoy the stereo!

Installed this in a 2002 ford ranger single cab pickup. Immediate upgrade to the sound and added bluetooth support and really updated the look and tech level of the pickup. Easy to use interface and great sound even using stock speakers

I LOVE this stereo - not one bad thing to say about features and functions but.................(always a but, right?) ; before you purchase ANY radio for your car I would look at your car and ask what other items you will need purchased in order to make it work. I got the stereo off a returned rack so bonus there in the reduced price! However, with the harness and other items I needed to buy in order to make this stereo fit, work, and etc the way I wanted was to pay DOUBLE the amount for those extras......no lie. Stereo - $150........needed items to install it - $300..........that was not just this stereo (other choices would have resulted in the same extras needed) and not sure if the items specifically were related solely to just my car but I doubt it - check that out too.........all I am saying.

This unit is very easy to setup and has lots of power. Features are easy to find and use. Love the blue tooth especially for phone calls. Makes shifting gears much easier

I love the wireless hook up with my iPhone and the backup camera. The stereo is very intuitive and easy to use.

It's more than a radio, it's a back up camera and dvd. Bright display and easy to use. Bluetooth setup was easy and works great.

Love this radio and the features. One of my favorite things is the blue tooth. I feel much safer driving and talking on the phone with the blue tooth feature. Also, easy connection to pandora and google maps.

I was looking for something to replace an old stock stereo in an 05 Chevy avalanche and did not want to spend too much. This was a great upgrade with some of the latest technology that fit my needs. Navigating the different features are very intuitive and don't require very many touches to use. The sound quality is very good and overall I'm very happy.

Because she's going to college out-of-state, I recently upgraded my daughter's 2005 Honda Civic to a new Kenwood in-dash, DVD, Bluetooth, iPhone/iPod-ready receiver. The Best Buy car audio sales clerk reviewed all the options that I should consider, and strongly suggested this for both its functionality as well as price point. No sense in installing a $2000 GPS unit in a car only worth $5000. Super easy to use. Best Buy had this item in stock, and ready for the Geek Squad to install. A+++

Very pleased with this purchase. At first, there were some complications with purchase but the Best Buy manager (Richard T) cleared everything up. This Kenwood has everything I was looking for in a double din stereo. Easy to operate and sounds awesome! DVD plays nice with clear video. No problems with it so far, would recommend this item if your looking for quality and ease of use.

Great head unit. Only issue i have is this unit is the way some of the setings hinder using an ipod and an iphone. If you set it to use Bluetooth apps then you can not connect with your ipod usb. If you change the setting back and forth its fine just a pain. But, it seems if you hook your iphone up hdmi this will be avoided I just havent bought the cable yet.

I WAS LOOKING FOR XM AND BLUETOOTH AT BEST BUY. THE SALESMAN TOLD ME THIS UNIT WOULD BE GREAT IF I EVER ADDED A BACK UP CAMERA. I ADDED A BACK UP CAMERA AND I LOVE THE BIG TOUCH SCREEN.
