Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the ease of use and wireless charging capabilities of the Motorized Clamping Qi Charging Phone Mount. Many appreciate the convenient mounting and charging features, but some users mention challenges with the size, sensitivity of the sensor, and the suction cup's ability to adhere to surfaces, especially in hot weather. Concerns were also raised regarding the mount's ability to securely hold the phone. Overall, the product receives positive feedback for its ease of use and wireless charging but needs improvement in areas like size and mounting stability.

So it is very good build quality. Wireless charge is good and the suction cup holds really well. The little sensor does detect really well when you hold your phone up to be docked. The sensor works a little too well though if the phone isn’t docked it opens and closes continuously. The other issue is that you have to swipe the button to release the phone not push the button and this can be difficult at first but then you get the hang of it. You can’t use Apple CarPlay and use the wireless charger at the same time but has nothing to do with this charger due to the fact that you have to have the lightning cable plugged into your phone and car at the same time.

Let me start by saying that it does everything that it was billed as doing. Which ironically is all the same things I wanted my phone charging mount to do. In all the tasks it does I actually can't imagine it doing it better. It's the best wireless charging phone mount I've ever owned. There really is nothing wrong with it at all. So please make a scaled down smaller version due to people with the same problem as I, minimalism..... That's right I would give this thing a 5 star rating so quick it's not funny if it were smaller and less bulky. Other than that. Perfect.

It's electric and opens automatic with the push of a button or when it sense you're holding a phone in front of it accept when the power supply has been off for like five minutes. The biggest problem is it's not quite big enough to hold a note 20 ultra in an otterbox defender case, which I know may be rare, but it's what I have. And sometimes it's hard to stiffen the mounting system and it goes limp and the locking mechanism for the suction cup pops out on it's own.

Easy to install and operate thanks to the motorized clamps. This feature alone makes it easier to take your phone when you need it and put it back when you’re done (without the struggle of prying open the standard clamp holers). The wireless charging feature is a plus and works as advertised. One issue, though minor, the sensor is very sensitive when the phone is not in the holder, so it opens and closes when it senses hand movement VERY easily. Other than that, I’d recommend it.

This mount is great, I like the Qi charging and that it reads when to open and close when you’re putting your phone in the mount. I have it 4 out 5 because the sensor is a bit sensitive, when the phone isn’t in the mount, the arms will randomly open and close. The release button is also a bit awkward to hit when trying to release the phone.

This Phone holder/charger is a waste of money. The sensor picks up all motion in car, including turning your steering wheel, then it opens, and your phone falls out while your driving. The instructions say you can turn off the power if you hold the button on the side for 3 seconds. Who is going to count to 3 every time you take out your phone from the holder? There are times when driving that the holder opens, and closes every couple of seconds. I went online and there are dozens, for less than 1/2 the price, that work like there supposed to, and you don't have your phone falling out, nor do you need to hold some button for 3 seconds that may, or may not work.

Works pretty good with some flaws. So overall setup is fine and fairly simple, however this thing has a sensor that's way too sensitive. There have been times where my phone would fall out when this thing is holding it.

Good Concept. Terrible Execution! Poor Quality!

    I. Summary TL;DR: don’t buy this. It’s a cool concept, but the execution, design choices, and build quality are awful in reality. II. Bad 1. The power button broke within the first few months. 2. Wireless charging doesn’t work 100% of the time. When this problem manifests, neither my phone nor my battery case will charge until this device is unplugged long enough for the capacitors to drain. This can take several minutes. Even better, if your phone is mounted when you power off, see Item 4 for a fun surprise that awaits you when you power this device back on. 3. If you don’t have a phone or other device mounted, the motorized arms will continuously open and close every time the light level in your vehicle changes. It’s maddening. WHIRRR OPEN WHIRRR CLOSE WHIRRR OPEN WHIRRR CLOSE. Except way more annoying. And it NEVER stops unless the light level in your vehicle stops changing. 4. The designers or engineers who thought it was a good idea to have the arms unlock automatically on power up should be banned from working on user interfaces or consumer devices, particularly ones that are used in a moving vehicle. WHY WOULD YOU THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? (This one is what prompted me to write this review, after my phone dropped from the top of my windshield to the center shift console for the tenth time in the past few weeks.) 5. The lever that locks the mount to the suction cup constantly pops open. If the suction cup is in maximum sticky mode, this results in a bouncing / swaying holder and phone. Otherwise, the whole apparatus will separate from the windshield and crash onto the dash, your lap, or the center console of your vehicle. EXCITING. III. Good 1. It was nicely packaged. The OOB experience was excellent. 2. When it isn’t throwing my phone at me, isn’t all WHIRR WHIRR WHIRR WHIRR as it begs for attention when it doesn’t have a phone mounted, and is actually charging my phone, it’s a nice experience. Unfortunately, this is a rare confluence of conditions. 3. The suction cup is sticky enough to keep Mjölnir from being lifted, no matter how worthy the lifting person may be.

Ok.. i like the fast charge how you can put it on the vent or on the stand.. BUT! I do not like that when the phone is not in it.. it is constantly opening and closing. It is so annoying. When the phone is in there and i want to get it out.. the senser doesnt open it.. i got to do it like 10 times for it to open or i just send up forcing it out of its grasps. And i dont like that it has to be plugged into the charger provided.. i have so many slots in my car and it wont work unless its in the charging block provided. 2 stars cuz the fast charge does make it worth it. Not worth what i paid tho.

The mount has a lot of features that are appealing. Wireless charging while in the holder is great! The auto open/close on the holder is helpful, however, it will open and close over and over if your phone is not in the holder...annoying. I like the feature to attach to the vent, however, it is difficult to get it just right so it does not move/slip. My vents are smaller too, so this may be an issue. I would like to mount to my dash, but, I have leather and worried it will ruin the spot it is attached to, no info on that.

I didn't realize until I saw this in the store since the internet detail has no information about auto open/close function with the wireless charging!. This will auto open and close when it is hooked in Cigar charger and also charges your phone up to 15W if you have smarphone or iPhone (like me I have Samsung Galaxy 10 so charges 10W for wireless) . Quality is solid and has accessories of charger holder stand, air vent clip, cigar charger and Type C USB cable which all you need is included in this kit. I love using them now and I would strongly recommend to my friends showing this cool gadget!.

I really want to like this, it's great if you clip it in your vent once and never touch it again but the spring on it stopped clamping after a couple of days. Also, if you don't put a phone in the cradle, be prepared to hear it open and close every 5 seconds because it works off a motion sensor.

I wanted to use it to charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ with an OtterBox Defender case, but it did not open wide enough to securely hold the 3.5-inch wide phone and case. Otherwise, the phone charger seemed like an excellent product. BestBuy accepted my return and I placed the purchase price on a BestBuy Gift Card.
