i love thsi movie. jeff chandler is excellent as jesus and there is a great supporting cast. i loved jeff as an actor since he was in the searchers with john wayne.

A hugely underrated period epic from a time when films were grand and it looks great. Yeah sure, it's a little dated and product of it's time, but the score is great and the emotion is there. One of the best Jesus films in my opinion, stands right up there with modern renditions like The Chosen if you can forgive some of it's vintage rough edges. Really powerful film!

As in the Review Summary above, this is one of three great movies depicting Jesus' Life. Jeffrey Hunter portrays Jesus and gives a incredibly powerful performance. It is in the quiet times that Hunter is able to convey the inner strength that Jesus possessed. Robert Ryan's portrayal of John the Baptist is equally powerful. I mentioned three Movies, depicting Jesus' Life. The other two are: The Greatest Story Ever Told with Max Von Sydow as Jesus and Charlton Heston as John the Baptist, and The Passion Of The Christ with Person of Interest's Jim Caviezel as Jesus. I highly recommend: King of Kings, as well as the other two Movies, I mention.

Title not truly King of Kings It’s King of kings I would watch this every year on television But they stopped it I was forced by the Nun in the Orphanage to watch this in my raggedy dress & holes in my tennis shoes I remember I like it so much As the years went by I’d watch it when it was on. Thanks to Best Buy I now have it. No more waiting Except tv stopped showing long ago

For those who are fans of this blockbuster Biblical movie, watching it in Blu-Ray is like seeing it with completely different cinematography. The scenes and characters and backgrounds come alive with much more color, majesty, and depth. It is a classic version of this classic.

Now I can watch this whenever I want. I don't have to wait for Easter for Christmas for a showing. I have great memories of watching King of Kings with my mother every Easter/Christmas.

KIng of Kings is a great movie to follow the story of Jesus Christ from beginning to end.
