Nice looking Refrigerator, the doors did not line up so a new one was delivered. It is quiet but the ice maker is loud and the drawers on the fridge side are flimsy which should not be the case otherwise the fridge is nice.

Very well lit and I like having separate water & ice. Display is easy to see and use. Should have one more shelf since the spaces are far apart--maybe missing ? Also, Plastic drawers do not slide evenly or straight, all the time or sometimes at an angle & do not close all the way This is a beautiful unit.

Expensive but it seems worth it after having it for over a month. Very sleak and cool inside lighting. Comes with a wine rack and water filter inside too. I had some trouble aligning the doors and handles, but once it settles under the weight of food it is supposed to even out. And if not, it comes with a tool to adjust. Overall a solid refrigerator. I purchased it to match the other Kitchen Aid appliances that came with my new home, and so far I am pretty happy.

Classic look, operates very quietly, and has a bright interior. Absolutely flawless in its operation. Ice maker works great as does the water dispenser and the refrigerator and freezer temperatures are spot on. I also appreciate how the freezer and refrigerator door handles line up perfectly with each other when the doors are closed. LOVE it.

Nice looking fridge that utilizes every inch of space to make up for being counter-depth.
We have had stainless steel appliances in the past that had issues with smudges that were hard to wipe off. This fridge is easy to clean and maintain.
Things to note...
* The shelves are easy to wipe down. For the price, a majority of the fridges we looked at had wire shelves that required quite a bit of effort to remove and clean.
* The refrigerator is very quiet.
* Make sure you know what type of water connector you have for the dispenser. Best Buy only has one connection option on the hose they bring to perform the installation. If it is different, you will have to connect the water yourself.
* The ice maker fills up fast.
* The shredded ice option makes a huge mess (most of them do).
* The wine rack is nice, but unnecessary and takes up valuable space on one of the shelves.
Overall, it is a nice fridge for the price and I am happy we chose this one.

Great Fridge so far (after 1 month) but the KitchenAid logo on the outside and the information label on the inside are crooked. This may seem like nit-picking but it shows a lack of attention to detail.
Inside is very well lit, ice maker is good and operation is quiet. Very attractive appliance.

DO NOT BUY

I’ve had this refrigerator for 4 years and the bottom refrigerator side is nothing but a block of ice. I have to take all the food, shelves and drawers out EVERY WEEK and thaw out the block of ice that forms. Again, this is a WEEKLY event. Ive had 4 repairman come out and there is not a good fix. Tgis was design flaw by Kitchenaid. There is supposed to be a heating element that thaws the ice from forming on the refrigerator side but they left this out?? BY DESIGN!? So now i have a $3,300 paper weight that makes me work to keep our food cold. I cannot believe there is not a solid fix for this. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. You will regret it. And Kitchenaid service has been absolutely terrible. No help at all. I purchased all matching appliances with Kitchenaid and this makes me absolutely sick that they wont stand behind their product.

A great product. I wish every purchase was so smooth. It works as intended and looks very professional. A lot of thought went into the design and it holds a lot of food in a very organized way. Lighting is very nice. Ice maker works great.

It is a nice looking fridge and the handles are nicely made, you can feel it when you open the fridge doors, but I do have some issues with the fridge that I want to address.
1. The fridge door brackets and shelves are okay, but you can only put certain shelves on certain brackets and I feel like you can't put them anywhere on the door, which forces you to pick places for them.
2. The Freezer depth is pretty bad. When you purchase meats and have them in the party pack packaging it is too long for any of the lower shelves in the Freezer, it has to be placed on the top Freezer shelf, which is not the best spot for meats, typically you place meats on the bottom shelves below everything, so rather inconvenient bad shelving/depth choices for longer items in the freezer.
3. Some of the items feel cheap in the fridge, the filters (there are 3 total) 1 water and two air filters. One of the filters in the produce drawer literally fell off when I opened it and it wasn't very easy to get it to seat back into place. I can imagine this being fun every time I need to replace filters, and costly as there are 3 in total to replace which means have to order 3 separate items every 3 or 6 months or whenever they expire. So more costs.
Pros:
1. Counter depth is nice and lines up perfectly with my counters.
2. Stainless steel looks great against the other appliances in the kitchen.
3. Appears to have more room in the fridge and Freezer compared to my previous Fridge which was an LG and about 14 years old.
Overall I am happy with the purchase, would give it 3.5 stars, but only have the option to do 3 or 4 so I chose 3 as I do have some reservations about the product. I look forward to seeing how it holds up throughout the years.

The Frig fits perfectly recessed within our counter tops and looks very nice. We purchased a floor model and do have a problem with our ice maker but since it is under warranty it is getting fixed by Best Buy. I also have Total Tech so it has a 2 year warranty.

Good Overall Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator openbox so I want to stress the point that it was not brand new. Overall it is a great product and what I expected from Kitchenaid. As for issues:
When we were putting the shelves in, it is a very tight fit and if you hit the sides of the inside of the fridge with the shelves it will scrath the white surface.
Also, since it was open box, one of the front feet was missing, the filter was used and not replaced with a new one. That is one area that BestBuy should focus on improving when selling pre-owned products.

Nice style, design & overall look, but had ingoing issue after a few months with freezing of the water reservoir which affects both water & icemaker functionality. Factory service had ideas plus a gasket solution which wasn't a permanent fix, so it's still an unresolved + annoying issue when the door water delivery and icemaker stop working.. then return to service.. then stop again. This is obviously a known issue which KitchenAid seems to have no real solution for yet, or it's factory service team doesn't know about?
Disappointing situation for an expensive fridge, and a 1year warranty period that's getting closer to the end. KitchenAid should be able to do better than this.

I was so glad to get this refrigerator considering there were none available in the nearby vicinity. I only gave it a 4 star review since the ice maker was not dispensing ice. I called Kitchen Aid, a tech was sent, and the problem was a sensor in the freezer that didn't sense the freezer door was closed. I am now waiting on a part they ordered to fix the problem. Otherwise, we love the fridge!

Very nice side by side counter depth refrigerator. Plenty of convenient room in both sides. Wine rack is nice. Efficient water and ice in door and very easy filter replacement.
This is our second one in 4 years with original ice maker breaking because of poor electrical wire design to the ice maker breaking at bottom of freezer door with no repair other than new door or refrigerator replacement.

Bought this fridge to replace our last KitchenAid fridge which lasted us 16 years. This was closest in design to our last fridge but for some reason came with less shelves on both the fridge and freezer sides. Additional shelves must be purchased separately whereas the older models came with all the shelves, which is ridiculous as there are clearly grooves for the missing shelves. The drawers and shelves themselves seem flimsier and less sturdy than the prior model. The ice maker in the freezer is obnoxiously loud when making ice. Our prior fridge was never this loud. Overall the fridge is ok but we much prefer the older model. Disappointed to see the overall quality has gone down, considering the price. We picked KitchenAid since our last one gave us 16 years. Hopefully this one has a long life as well.

This has been a great purchase. The fridge is the same size as my older KitchenAid Fridge but it feels as if there is much more space. The wine shelve inside the fridge is a nice touch but not practical if you have kids and real estate in the fridge comes at a premium. The wine shelve is easily removable. The PrintShield finish is also a great touch...no more finger prints! I'm very happy with this purchase.

Compact size. Effective at cooling and freezing. Sensible on door operational menu too!
Two issues:
1. Grate under the dispenser is metal and none of the edges were
burnished. Very sharp. Cut my thumb peeling the shipping film
off. Dangerous for anyone, especially children.
2. Shipping retainer tape inside was very hard to remove and clean.

We get this refrigerator a 10. It is roomy. It has water and ice in the front which is, for us, nice but not critical. We like the look of the refrigerator, the way the doors open and close, the quietness. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.

Great deal on this open box, so far it’s working great and I love the interior lighting. I would expect a little better/stronger drawer design from Kitchen Aid though.
