After replacing many interior parts, hose, racks, wheels, buying interior cleaners, and spending more than $250 in just parts, it fails to heat the water. I should have purchased the protection plan. I would have saved money and time.

This dishwasher doesn't do a particularly good job cleaning the dishes - unless you prewash them and put the washer on a setting that consumes the most water and takes the longest. In the three years we've owned it, the pump has now failed twice and had to be replaced. The repair guy said we needed to rinse the dishes clean before we put them in the machine - but then what's the point of the washer? Can't recommend this machine at all.

We run at least one full load of dishes every day in our house. This replaced an 18 yr old Whirlpool that was still working but the racks were falling apart and it was very noisy for our small townhome living area. Now with the new dishwasher we can run dishes whenever we want-while talking, watching TV, etc. and it doesn't wake up all our pet birds like the old one did. You can hear a little gurgling when the water drains, but not much, really. It has a deep tub and lots of room. The top rack adjusts up and down easily. I liked the LGs I saw but the bottom racks didn't have a thing to keep them in place and they jammed even when empty. The racks do glide VERY easily which is nice but you have to get used to it. The kids broke a glass because they pushed the top rack in too fast. You also have to get used to the three sprayers-bottom, top, and under the top rack. They are great but you can't block them or they won't spin. I think that would be the same in any dishwasher. If you are coming from a very old DW, understand that all dishwashers now have longer cycles and use much less water. The only thing I wish it had was a more fingerprint proof outer shell.

I was contemplating between this and a comparable Samsung unit. Went into the store and really loved the feel of the trays sliding and the feel and quality of the door and the unit overall compared to the Samsung. Felt like it was built much better, Purchased this unit a couple of weeks ago and I'm in love with my decision. The first time I ran the unit I checked twice to make sure its running because I couldnt even hear it compared to my old clunker. Great purchase and really seems like a high quality product. Would but it again 10 times out of 10!! You do have to use the jet dry liquid but dries perfectly!

After owning this dishwasher for a year and half it has stopped working three times. Despite washing all the dishes off prior to putting them away, the bottom is constantly clogged up and the dishwasher stops working. The clips that hold the shelf on the top rack are EXTREMELY CHEAPLY made and break off after just six months, even though we treat the appliance with TLC. Cost was $35.00 through Amazon. If the system was made with quality parts and the bottom didn't have to be serviced constantly it would be a good dishwasher. This dishwasher is extremely noisy too! WAY OVER-PRICED! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!!

Six months old and the control panel and bottom rack are already shot. KitchenAid warranty service can't come fix it for another 7 days, leaving me without a dishwasher for another week.
We stepped up for this KitchenAid thinking it would have outstanding cleaning and reliability. The same time we bought this thing we bought a $300 Amana for our rental property which has worked fine. This KitchenAid not only isn't cleaning properly, the hardware on the rack is falling apart already and KitchenAid is making me wait a week for them to stand behind their product. WASTE OF MONEY SHOULD'VE SAVED THE MONEY AND GOTTEN THE CHEAPIE

1.5 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher lost power. Repair man confirmed Panel control is out. Part back ordered 1 month. Found part Certified Whirlpool part from alternate vendor with quick ship, Whirlpool will not cover cost of part. Whirlpool would rather have a broken machine in a home than help solve the problem
