Customers consistently note the Reference 800 Series Dual 8" speakers for their clear sound quality and substantial bass. Many appreciate the elegant appearance, fantastic highs, great design, and efficient volume, especially considering the price. The primary drawbacks mentioned are the speaker's large size and heavy weight.

I own a smaller set of Klipsch speakers that I have had for 40 years and they still rock. These speaker don’t sound as good as my other Klipsch speakers. At higher volumes they sound good but they lack the fuller sound with deeper base I was looking for with these speakers. I guess I’ll need a sub woofer but for this price you would think that wouldn’t be necessary. The speakers do provide clean crisp sound

More audio than i needed but man am i happy i got them. Cleanest sounding speakers ive ever had. These things can get real loud and not lose quality. Best pirchase

I don’t like that my beginner home theater system sounds so much better. If you’ve saved the money the RP series is very distinguishable from these. Added emotiva amp drives these perfectly for quality sound but out the box was to low for my likings

For klipsch these miss the mark. Yes, they sound good, maybe great compared to many mainstream lines. However, for klipsch and the price point... not impressed. We returned these for the RP8000F which have a substantial improvement in sound quality. The 800's are tinny, and grainy on the top end with a marked crossover point that is audible, almost scratchy at a specific frequency. The low end seems muddled, and rolls off without really delivering the punch that should be expected from a reference name. Overall, these speakers sound good for an entry level speaker, but not great, and definitely not great for klipsch. Spend a few extra bucks and get the next level up, your ears will thank you.
