purchased a JVC adixxion since was at great price but quickly returned (junk), then decided to get something else but wanted more than one camera, decent gopro would have been the silver edition but at 299 plus lcd view finder plus other mounts i was looking at 5 or 6 hundred dollars a piece, then bumped in to this great camera for $199 with lcd and accessories, why not give it a try and if doesn't work out i can always return it. well let me tell you its has great image quality, strong wifi and mobile app doesn't freeze at all. So satisfied I'm getting a second one.

I bought this for a cruise that I haven't been on yet but so far love the above water picture and video quality. I wanted a waterproof camera/video camera for snorkeling and zip lining into water. So far I really like this camera but haven't tested the waterproof features yet. If it works as well under water as it does above water I will be even happier. It takes a while to figure out how to use the menu features but overall pretty easy to use.

I have only used the camera once but it did awesome. I mounted it to my atv and took a 30 mile trail ride. ran thru mud holes, stream crossings and rocky terrain. It never budged from it's mount. It produced clear and steady videos of the ride. Only issues I had were my my fault for not knowing how to use it. which reminds me I think buyers should get a paper manual with purchase. I never got my cd-rom disk to play so I was using it with no instructions. but the camera is awesome.

I took a few images out of the water by using the downloadable app, worked great and at 14 megapixel images were impressive. Then it came time to test underwater. Changed over to waterproof lens and made sure battery compartment was closed and locked. Got in the pool to take a few short videos of my son diving in the pool from underwater. As I submerged I saw a few bubbles but didn't think there was any way they were from the camera. I was wrong, the SP1 is rated for 33 feet for one hour. Mine leaked in less than 60 seconds at 18 inches in depth. I returned it, but am considering reordering one after reading more reviews over time. The sales rep at Best Buy was sincerely surprised I had this problem, he felt it was a defective unit. We'll see what others say.

Returned the 1st one, per Kodak Tech Support suggestion.
2nd unit has same problem.
tried a few diff SD cards, formating etc.
if I record multiple vids in succession, the last one will always be corrupt.
I pause to let it write to the SD card (if thats whats going on) and no luck.
Kodak Teck Support not good for this problem
Great quality video.
Didn't try under water.
Bought from Amazon, not here.
Was looking for others with same problem.
