I bought this lock because it is compatible with my Xfinity home security. It's a great lock, but the plastic that covers the numbers is cheap and after a few months will dry rot and start cracking. I called Kwikset and they sent me a replacement lock, but the 2nd one did the same thing. It's so bad you can't even see the numbers in the daylight anymore. Calling them for round 3 now...

Simple drop-in replacement for my existing deadbolt. Works great with my existing SmartThings hub. Satisfies my significan others obsession with locking doors by automatically locking up when either my cell or her SmartThings arrival sensor leaves and unlocking when either returns. One minor complaint (hence four stars) - minor disassembly/reassembly with easy-to-lose fidgety little screws is required to change batteries.

It is a very cool lock and everybody loves it when they see it. The touchscreen works really good and you can have it to automatically lock after 30 seconds. The only thing I don't like is you can't use the app unless you can some kind of bridge to work with all the smart home stuff.

This lockset has numerous features (multiple codes, protection from fingerprint identification, compatibility with home security systems, classy design). It was easy to install and operate. My only issue was that it was not compatible with XFinity Home Security Systems (which is a problem with XFinity, not Kwikset).

Our home security is based on the Zigbee protocol and our entire home is Kwikset locks, so it was a natural choice to integrate this. It was easy to install and program. Works great with our security system and was easy to add there too. We are able to program 6-digit codes for guests or house cleaners that we can manage separately from our master code. Much more convenient and secure than giving out physical keys. The SmartKey feature allowed us to key it to our existing keys...another strong selling point. So far very pleased with this product and features.

It took me only about 1/2 hour to install and program. It connected easily to my Echo Plus (you need the Zigbee one for the Echo Plus) and worked like a charm.

Love the ability to ensure it's locked after I leave the house as well as punching the codes. Also set it to auto-lock if I forgot after 10min. Brilliant.

The Kwikset 916 deadbolt is an excellent product. It offers the ability to randomize the pushing of different numbers to prevent potential intruders from detecting your actual code. It also has the capability to be rekeyed. The deadbolt is easy to install and setup. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product in the future.

Great keypad for lock/unlock feature. I love the ability to use lock features from my phone using home automation

When I purchased I thought I would be able to program multiple codes and monitor who comes in fr the app. However I need to get a hub. Without a hub I am only ahle to create the codes on the lockbox itself. I cannot even open the lock with the app.l through my phone. Make sure you get the hub if you're looking at utilizing all he features. Otherwise just get a lock with the code access

Took a while to set up because it would not connect to smartthings support helped and it works great. I wish it had a way to see who opened the door with what code. Setting up access codes are so easy but you need to remove the cover and 3 screws. it would be easier if you could do that from a app.

This is my second lock as my first one had to be replaced after kids banged on screen to get the numbers they press. Great looking and works well minus the occasional issues with touch screen

Kwikset has really delivered a quality product with this home automation enabled smart lock. Install a easily, simple to setup and works flawlessly with Amazon Alexa.

Overall it's good but it doesn't support Android devices, I had to return it.

Wanted a keyless front door lock, found this one at Best Buy web site.. Install mechanically like ordinary deadbolt lock, only needed wife to read instructions while I programed it. Functions and looks nice.

Nice product! A bit pricey but well worth it! Directions for installation and use made easy to follow. Comfort of using the touch screen and using traditional old key entrance.

I purchased 4 of these locks for my new home to replace all of the outside locks. I previously owned a similar lock at my previous home but wanted something that looked a little nicer. Unfortunately, the touch pad on this one was almost completely unresponsive. It took 30 seconds and multiple attempts just to get the touch screen to acknowledge I was touching it. I would AVOID this product until they can get the touch screen to be much more responsive on a regular basis.

Nice lock, easy to install. The install video was helpful. The ability to lock/unlock is real nice.
