I bought this over 5 months ago because I wanted more storage to backup all my files from my MacBook M4 Max. Since Samsung T7 isn’t compatible with my laptop, it seemed like it was the best deal at the time. I found out that wasn’t the case. Transferring files and speed are slow. Last month, this device was ejecting itself automatically. It didn’t get better it just got worse. Now my computer can’t detect it when I plug it in. I found out the enclosure for this device was the issue. I had to take it apart, buy an adapter for my computer to detect it which it did-thankfully, and now I have to buy a new external hard drive to backup all my files again. Don’t get this device. It is affordable and for that reason it will only cost you more than you think.

Awesome product Rugged is an understatement, definitely feels very durable. The rubber grips are great for handling and to grasp onto whatever surface it's placed on. Connections are solid even when connected with an average Samsung phone charging cable. I haven't put it through the drop test yet, but I wouldn't doubt that it could withstand a few drops from waist height.

Love this hard drive. Can take it anywhere and know it’s durable and reliable.

This is the best hard drive. When I had an issue with it after dropping it, the customer service team from LaCie was great! 1. They sent a shipping label. 2. When they received my damaged hardrive they sent me a new one containing all the data from the damaged one. 3. After they fixed damages from the original one they sent me another refurbished hardrive that has not given me issues. Lacie has great warranties on their products and a very responsive staff.

Great for backing up stuff. I persoanlly use them to edit all of my videos on for my business. I shoot in 4k 120fps and my macbook is a 2tb… im ablento save my hard drive storage because i keep all my libraries/video on the lacie backup ratehr than the mac storage

Love this external hard drive- perfect for storing videos, photos, and editing on Final Cut Pro! In addition to the functionality, I love the design and the bright orange and how protected the hardd drive is.

I'm a wedding photographer and these are a beast. Super fast to write to and really can tolerate anything. I went through 5tb in one year somehow and had to get another one I liked it so much. I highly recommend these hard drives if you are a professional photographer who has to back up everything constantly.
